I totally agree and it is nice to hear someone else say what I am thinking. I have grown up in a very Christian family and we have always been taught to love everyone, no matter what they do. God hates sin, not people. We are all children of God and he loves us all so much.
One of my favourite songs in church start like this:
'Nothing you can do can make him love you more,
and nothing that you've done could make him close the door."
I absolutly agree with this. God loves us all so much and no matter what we do or what sins we commit, he will continue to love us and wait for us to turn tp him. There are a lot of Christians who feel the same way but unfortunatly it is usually the ones with opinions like being anti-homosexual that get all of the public attention and Christianity is really not about that.
I honestly try to follow these two greatest commandment in my life every day and, although I know I will fail, God will always be there for me. I think that it is important for all Christians to know what Jesus was really saying and we all need to learn to love each other, not because of what we do but because God loves us all and has a plan for each of us if we turn to him.

I agree with you. God does not hate anyone. He is incapable of hate because He is pure and holy. And since He is holy, He cannot look at sin and just say it's okay, because this would be contradicting Himself. That's why Jesus became sin, so God could judge all sin in Him and declare Him guilty. The penalty for sin was death, and Jesus consequently died and paid the penalty, but arose to life on the third day. By believing in Jesus' atonement for our sin, we are declared "not guilty", or "debt paid in full" because of what He did for us. And, when we die, we are raised to everlasting life with Him. We are in no position to condemn anyone for their lifestyles, that is left up to God. But, we can speak the truth of the Gospel to others in love and pray that they will believe and be saved. Loving someone is never permissiveness. Jesus never led anyone to believe that love would overlook evil. The love of God provides a way to overcome evil, not live in it. Remember, say anything you want about the love of God, but in the end it is Jesus who will sit on the Great White Throne and judge sinners, and cast them into hell.

Though there are some christians who hate homosexuals I believe it's more their own predjudice & fear than their religious beliefs. Some of the homosexuals who call christians homophobes automatically think the two words go together no matter how you act or what you say. Whether it's fear of criticism or shame themselves I don't know.
But since fear, predjudice, etc. blind us to the truth and we tend to shout louder in those emotions thus it makes it seem like the truth.
I agree though and not just on the homosexual message.

God doesn't hate homos he just is dissappointed. He didn't make Adam and Steve or Ashley and Eve. If god wanted for the same sex tobe together..there would be only ONE SEX. God is looking down at us and watching how we as children of God are sitting and doing nothing. The bible tells us right and wrong. Now days people are only looking after themselves. We need to help eachother. We haven't lost sight of the true teachings, we are just interpretating them to fit our lifestyles. This isn't the bible times and Jesus knows that. That still doesn't mean we make up rules. What is wrong is wrong.

I think people are lost to the purpose of what God created them for. We were all created to serve the Lord, forever putting His will before our own.
As for sin, yes God hates sin, but not the sinner, Jesus died for the sinner, and His blood, when applied, covers all sin.
As for homosexuals, ....... 1 Corinthians. 6:9
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,.....What does effeminate mean?

I think you hit the nail on the head. Most of the old and new testament prophecies have come to past. We are all so caught up in the wonders of this world, lovers of our own selves without natural affection.
The only cure is to do what Peter didn't do. Keep your eyes , heart and mind on Jesus.

Well, first things first. Jesus knows we're all sinners, even us Christians. That's why He died for us. So it's no surprise to Him that sometimes we just don't get it.
I agree with you that we should love the sinner and hate the sin. But also remember that the Apostle Paul kicked a sinner out of church so that he would see the error of his ways and repent.
Sometimes the sinner gets what's coming to him because of his sin. Should it be any other way?

God does not hate homosexuals, but homosexuality. We should love others, even homosexuals. This does not mean we should approve of what they do.
Jesus said in Revelation 3:19: "Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent."
Love, but don't approve!

I agree.
God loves the sinner but not the sin.
WE really DO need to live the teachings, not just know and preach them.
