I don't really want to live forever in eternity, I just want my existance to end when I die. Say someone else does too. Do you have to go to heaven? Do you get a choice?

If you don't want to go to heaven, it's because you don't understand what heaven is. None of us really do until we get there. But heaven is the presence of God, who is the source of all things good. All things enjoyable, exciting, new, fun, etc. There is no comparison. He knows everything about you, he knows what you want more than you yourself do, and believe me he knows you'll love heaven. He's preparing it for you now.

Now, I've never heard of any religion saying you have a choice of whether or not to go on after death, but here's something to think about: if heaven is everything you want it to be, and what you truly want is to end, then maybe for you "heaven" would be to cease to exist. I'm not saying this from an expert point of view since I've never really studied it and I don't come from a tradition that has any one idea of what the World to Come will be like, so I'm just tossing out an idea for you to think about if it helps.

If I may shoot a question back to you, though, why is it that you don't want to go on? Just out of curiosity.

Heaven is not anything Earthly, so you have no idea what it will be like. Eternal life can be a scary thought, but it is not if it is everything good. You don't get a choice. It is eternal life in heaven or hell. You don't get to decide that etiher, only God. Pray and read and pray some more. Heaven may be closer than you think. Try and get closer to God. Read your bible everyday. God bless.

What men do not realize is that the spirit and soul are eternal beings. These are the real us, spirit and soul. So your choices are thus; choose eternal life or choose eternal damnation.
God made Hell for Satan and his devils, not for man. Yet, if man chooses to follow after Satan's lies then he is bound to go where the lies are to go, HELL.
Eternal life is going to be a wonderful place where we will be like the angels in heaven who come and go and do things and then come back to worship before God. They walk this earth but our eyes are not opened to the dimension they walk in. We will however walk in that dimension some day if we choose eternal life. We will meet everyone there is to meet in history past and future who have made Jesus Christ their eternal choice. We will write songs and sing them. We will learn how to play instruments, we will have picnics and parties and do many fun things. Heaven will be so cool and beyond anything I can describe that is wonderful and full of rapture. Hell, will be eternal torment even for Satan and his devils. You may even scream in agony beside Satan himself at sometime if that is your choice.

you have a choice alright and you get to make it now, in this life time..eternal life free of pain and then on the other hand you can have eternal death where there is gnashing of teeth...does not mean non existent and in both cases you FEEL and are AWARE so you decide. Peace

The Holy Bible teaches you really don't have a choice, so I would choose heaven if I was in your position. Be saved is the greatest thing that can ever happen to you. When you become born again and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour Jesus sends his Holy Spirit to live in your heart and it is unspeakable Joy, It is a peace that cannot be described, I wish I could tell you and I wish I had the words but I don't, but I can tell you that I lay down at night in peace, I don't have people, I don't carry aroung an anger or harbor any bitterness towards anybody, I just can't get mad at people and having the Spirit in me makes me want to tell everybody about Him. Jesus is awesome, Jesus gave his life for me on that cross, his shed blood cleansed me and you from all sins, now all we have to do is accept is gift of grace, just believe, and Jesus will do the rest, Jesus says to come as you are, He has already paid the price for your sins on the cross, now just confess them to him and he will give you a new heart and a new way of life, just pray this prayer of faith believing with all your heart, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you made a decision for Christ or have any questions, Please send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

It sound like you already have made your choice. Life after death is something so awesome we can imagine it is a perfect place in the presence of the Lord ..I pray that i will see you in the new Jerusalem. God gave is only son for our sins and Jesus shed his blood for you and all of us. You will have one more chance after the rapture.I'm sure you will see will understand then..

Well, if you don't wanna go to heaven, you can live in hell if you like, but you won't like it.

In heaven you won't feel boredom, or a sense of time, (from what I know), so why not go?
