i mean for originally charging $500 for a Playstation 3 (PS3). I mean I love the system more than XBOX360 but I had to get what was affordable. PS3's aren't selling for Shiza and XBOX's are constantly selling out at Walmart. Playstion you lost my respect along with many other people as well. p.s. we aren't all made of money.

On the contrary, I respect Sony and I don't respect Microsoft. Their Xbox is a pure attemt to drain peoples money. 360 is more expensive (if you'll equip it to somewhat close to PS3 - you'll spend more than 300$). Now simple math - good version of Xbox 360 with all add-ons will cost you around 700$ and you'll have to pay even more for online, while you can buy PS3 for 400$ and that's it.
700$ or 400$, which is best?
Be honest with us, Yahoo answers residents, tell us, are you working for Microsofr PR team? :-)

You lost your respect because..... its soo expensive, or that they lowered it? Both are bs reasons. Did u even venture a guess as why they cost more? Maybe built in wifi, blueray..? You're not made of money, but neither is Sony pal. If you want the bare minimum then go ahead ans get a 360, but if you want reliability, along with bang for buck, then its right in front of you in the form of the PS3, which is now selling for the same price as 360.

ps...just to piss people off... I got a 80gb PS3, 2 controllers HDMI cable & motorstorm for 399.99 :) jelous?

No, it is a quality piece of hard ware with a huge lineup of AAA titles in the near future. There is a $399 40GB PS3 if you can't afford the 80GB.

The PS3 has a .2% defect rate. The Xbox 360 has a 33% failure rate. Which is the better buy for the long run?

Also, last time I checked NPD and worldwide sales, the PS3 has sold 5 million and the xbox 360 has sold 11 million. The PS3 isn't doing bad at all, and is actually now selling better in Europe and Japan than the 360.

hell no, the only reason why you lost respect for it was just as simply by it costing too much and doesnt sell much? Well, ill tell you, the ps3 is way better then the 360, compare and see which breaks down easily? Its obviously the 360, they did not put enough time into it. Anyways, it costed that much because it has blu-ray. obviously most people get the 360 becasue its cheap and they get it cuz theres halo, but halo is not that great if you think about it, i could name so many games better then the peice of junk.

.... Who are you to be talking about respect. Sony has done everything for us. They pamper their fans. I am getting sick and tired of you people. You want everything and you want it cheap. Its called "QUALLITY" and its not cheap. The 360 is a steaming pile of crap and every one is eating it all up simpley because its cheaper. Microsoft is a Horrid company driven by money. I personally think that Microsoft has ruined the video game market. Sony is the only hope of saving the true home console.

If you were really happy with your 360 then you’d be playing it instead of complaining about the Ps3.

Get a life
