The thing about anorexia is that the person who suffers this illness has to want to change and be ready to. Saying things like "you are so thin" won't help because it will make her focus on her body image even more so just stick with casual conversation like you usually do- just try and avoid talk about body image and what not so your friend doesn't feel uncomfortable. People often have to hit rock bottom before they realize they need help so just be there for her when she admits she is suffering from anorexia.
Since her parents are aware of her problem then they should be trying to help her, but remember it may take time. I'm sure her parents are aware of everything that anorexia can cause- health problems, organ damage, her period may stop all together and she may not be able to reproduce in the future, etc.

Being a supportive friend means learning how to behave around someone with an eating disorder. Here are some things you can do to support a friend who is battling an eating problem:
Avoid talking about food.
Avoid being overly watchful of your friend's eating habits, food amounts, and choices.
Avoid making statements like, "If you'd just eat or stop exercising, you'll get better."
Avoid reinforcing the idea that this is all about your friend's physical appearance.
Most importantly, remind your friend that you care - no matter how she looks.

Personally i think that she needs to be the one to tell you and that you cant really bring up the subject until then. The best thing you can do is continue being her friend and treat her as a friend any friend, no special requiments needed.I am guessing that her parents are aware and if not they soon will be.It is not your responsibility to make her better. You will do more good by simply treating her as any other friend.

Who is "him"? See anorexia, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 44: print, and put in typed envelope addressed to her parents, with a typed note, saying they have a right to know about her (name her) anorexia (it is a very dangerous eating disorder), its denial, and the fact that others are aware of it.

You shoud tell her what really happens when you go anerexic.......when you stop eating, your body does eat away all the fat....after all of your muscles......you can get so bad that your organs can completley shut down, causing you to have to be hospitalized, or worse die. also tell her that she is beautifull the way she is and tell her how frail and pale and bony she will look. Make up a paper to show her how to get healthy, instead of starving herself.

You really need to tell her parents or yours. She needs help, that you cannot give her. This can do SO MUCH damage to her body, you know that right? Please, please tell someone.
