I was there a couple times in '89 and again in '91 right after Gulf war Sr. I was in the US Navy and we were moored in Haifa and took the bus down to Jerusalem. It really leaves an impression. Jews at the Wailing wall, IDF walking around with uzis in the market, narrow alley ways with small shops and peddlers. We did Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee. Jordon river and Tel Aviv. I would reccommend it for anybody. I'm not a religous man and I enjoyed it. I do love history and of course there is plenty there.

Yes - first time was right after the Gulf War ended - quiet, peaceful, no crowds (grin). Seriously, it's a beautiful city and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Wow...seriously?? I never would have guessed it...
No...I never have. I have always wanted to...but to be honest, the political climate does scare me a bit.
In spite of that, I think it would be amazing to see so many of the places mentioned in the Bible...
