My boyfriend is definately a man's man...he is way into sports, is very rugged looking and sometimes says things that make my jaw drop. Today I was having an issue with my son, and he went and sided with him making me out to be the ogre mother picking on her son. I've had to play both the role of father and mother where my boys are concerned and I've had to be tough.
Why can't a man just mind their p's and q's and think before they speak?

You sound like you've had quite a burden raising your boys by yourself. It sounds like your boyfriend is trying to be a good influence on your boys, and if your boys like him, then I think this is wonderful. Try not to be so defensive though, because your boys love you and appreciate all you've done for them, it's just that men can teach them different things about life than a woman.

he is the BOYFRIEND not the father or your husband. next time disreguard his macho bs and tell him to back off.
