It depends on what you are on probation for.
There are certain misdemeanor convictions that will disqualify you from being hired as a Police Officer.
Also, your background investigator will check to see if your misdemeanor conviction was originally a felony charge that was reduced as part of a plea bargain.

You can attempt at any time. The problem might be what you were convicted of. Most departments have pretty tight rules on back ground. Good luck.

Depends what you were convicted of.

Most felonies, never.

YOU CANNOT BE DENIED AN APPLICATION TO ANY JOB.

IT IS JUST WEATHER THEY WILL HIRE YOU THAT IS THE CRUX.
