Go to the flea market. Maybe you can find a fixer upper. A little paint and some new knobs should do it. I just bought an antique chair for $1.00. Sanded and stained it, looks new again.

check to see if your community has a "freecycle" elist
if they do - subscribe and either post a WANTED ad or just wait. I see them once or twice a month out here

Check Craigs list - it is easy to barter or even work out a price that is within your range

Get up early on Saturday and cruise the local guarage sales and flea markets... bargains can be found

Check goodwill and Salvation army

You could probably find one on Craigslist...or try Goddwill or some other thrift store.
