Yes, you can plug a TV antenna into your TV to get local stations. If you live in the city, an indoor antenna should work well, however if you are in a Rural area, you will want an outside antenna. The size and style of antenna is dependant on how far away you are from the TV stations, and their direction.

A good source would be www.antennaweb.org. You punch in your exact location and it will show you where all your local stations are so you know what type of antenna to get, and which way to point it for the best picture.

Any good Radio Shack antenna will work until February 2009 when all television transmission will be broadcast in digital format only. The days of antenna TV are coming to an end.

Better do it now..as of 2009 analog is outlawed...but you can purchase a converter for around 200 bucks to be able to use an antenna.

After March 2009, your antenna will be obsolete, since all analog stations will be shut off.
