John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
Or how about those scriptures where Thomas puts his finger in the palms of the risen Christ who is standing in front of him in bodily form, and declares hem to be Lord (God)

I don't know if anyone will read this because so many had so much to say before me but......
what alot of you are missing is that there is more than one god. Yes Jesus is a god, but not God Almighty. Jehovah is the only Almighty god. It's plain to see in many of the scriptures you quote. None say that Jesus is God Almighty.

All of John chapter 17.
John 14:28 when Jesus said "the father is greater than I am."
John 12:49
John 6:38
There are an infinite number of scriptures. I don't know where to start......
Oh, how could I forget John 20:17? Where he said, "I'm ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God." This one's perfect, cause if Jesus is God, how could he have a Father and a God?

At Ps. 83:18, Jehovah is called the Most High. At Luke 1:32, Jesus is called the SON of the Most High.
At John 17:3, Jesus called his Father the only true God.
Clearly, Jehovah and Jesus are two different persons--Father and Son respectively.

Any thinking person will never believe that jehovah is god and Jesus isn't. You run into to many Scriptures that say that Jesus is God. There is only one God, not a big god and little god as the jw's like to say.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jn. 1:1
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Jn. 1:14
For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 Jn. 5:7
And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” Ex. 3:14
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Jn. 8:58
I and My Father are one. Jn. 10:30
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
GOD WAS MANIFESTED IN THE FLESH,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory. 1 Tim. 3:16
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Phil. 2:5-8
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Col. 2:9
Not matter how much the jw's rant, the Truth is always short and to the point. Notice how many Scriptures came directly from the Bible and not from ANY publications...or additions to the Bible.
You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Deut. 4:2

You know, it never ceases to amaze me how and why people choose to believe in such a complicated and unscriptual teaching as the 'trinity'
When I was a child I would hear grown ups argue over the trinity, but none had the simple answer that the Bible gave.
The trinity to me, was like something from greek mythology........and you know they had a lot of monsters LOL as a child I could picture this grotesque 3-headed monster and would ask myself...........why would anybody in their right mind WANT to serve a god like that? uggggh

You've had some very good answers given by Jehovah's Witnesses, with many, many scriptures cited to show that "God is Jehovah not Jesus." You've also had some answers from those who believe that Jesus is the same as Jehovah.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that those who believe Jesus is Almighty God point to possibly 10 scriptures as "proof" of their belief. Some of these scriptures are spurious; others are rendered in various ways by translators; others, viewed in context or in relationship to the Bible as a whole, have an entirely different meaning.
In contrast to this, Jehovah's Witnesses can show you hundreds, even thousands, of scriptures that clearly show Jehovah and Jesus as separate individuals, with the Father being the "greater" of the two.
Back to answering your question about "one" scripture to convince someone that Jesus is not God:
Matt 16:15-17 (KJV): "He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven."
Matt 16:15-17 (NWT): "He said to them: “You, though, who do you say I am?” In answer Simon Peter said: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” In response Jesus said to him: “Happy you are, Simon son of Jo′nah, because flesh and blood did not reveal [it] to you, but my Father who is in the heavens did."
Peter answered that Jesus is not God, but the "Son of the living God." Jesus did not correct him, but said his Father had revealed it to him. That is the simple truth.

In my belief, Jesus was Jehovah before His mortal life. Of course, I should be expected to provide Biblical evidence of this. I shall present a few scriptures to support this assertion. I shall quote the King James Version of the Bible. I think it's the most widely accepted translation of the Bible. I believe that these scriptures will hold up in any translation, maybe even the New World Translation of the scriptures, which are the scriptures that Jehovah Witnesses prefer.
Exodus 13:21-22, "And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people."
1 Corinthians 10:1-4, "Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ."
1 Timothy 3:16, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (Caps mine.)
John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD." (Caps mine.)
Isaiah 7:14, "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel [Heb = God is With Us]." (Brackets mine.)
Jesus directed his listeners to search the scriptures, for "they are they which testify of me" (John 5:39). He told the Jewish rulers that Moses "wrote of me" (John 5:45–46; cf. John 1:45; 1 Cor. 10:1–4). Later he informed them that "Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad" (John 8:56). When asked how he and Abraham could have known each other when their lives on earth were separated by so much time, Jesus replied, "Before Abraham was, I am" (John 8:58). The Greek term here translated "I am" is identical with the Septuagint phrase in Exodus 3:14 that identifies Jehovah as "I AM."
That Jesus´ audience understood that he had plainly told them he was none other than Jehovah, also known as I AM, the God of Abraham and of Moses, is evident, for "then took they up stones to cast at him" (John 8:59) because they supposed that he had blasphemed. A further demonstration that they understood Jesus´ assertion that he was God come to earth is shown later when they "took up stones again to stone him," and Jesus asked: "For which of [my] works do ye stone me?" Their reply was "for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God" (John 10:31–33).

Jesus is God
"You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me" (Isaiah 43:10).
John 1:3, "Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made."
Col. 1:16-17, "For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold
