That is easily established. Have they ever accurately prophesied? Have any of their dates actually come to fruition?

I believe you are getting confused between two heresies. The Latter Day Saints (Mormons) claim their spiritual leader is God's Prophet. The Jehovah's Witnesses do not claim that title, but for a while engaged in prediction of the end times. They have announced that they will not choose a day and hour again, after trying four times and finding the world was still here. Interesting: "No person knows the day or the hour, not even the angels of Heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Matt. 24:36)

i will answer and could not attack the questioner plenty to the chagrin of the anti reproduction paster above me we don't declare to be prophets. We in basic terms tell human beings what the Bible says, in comparison to maximum religons at present which do not even save on with a number of Jesus' maximum user-friendly instructions such by using fact the only athe Matthew 28:19&20. I guess the guy above me would not save on with that. We do tell what the Bible says, we are actually not how ever prophets interior the experience we don't recieve or interperet visions (that ceased with Jesus arrival on the earth) We in basic terms checklist to others what the Bible says. wish this clears up between the various misconceptions approximately us. (additionally every physique who talks approximately what the Bible teaches interior the experience implied above could be in that experience a "prophet" of God, not in basic terms Jehovah's Witnesses)

It is written all biblical prophets predictions came true in the old testament . So any modern Christian prophet, to be credible, should have a similar track record if they believe in the same god. Non-Christian prophets on the other hand ...

Despite the urgency of the situation, most of earth’s inhabitants are not concerned about the approaching “day of Jehovah.” They mock and ridicule those who warn them of its imminent arrival. True Christians are not surprised by this. They remember the warning recorded by the apostle Peter: “You know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires and saying: ‘Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.’”—2 Peter 3:3, 4.

The governing body can have all kind of claims and these people just do what ever they are asked to do. They do not meet the criteria of being a prophet. However, they meet the criteria of the false prophet.
