No.

Jesus and The Bible said, Confess with your tongue and repent. One does not have to follow the religious practices of men to get into heaven, infact that is what the Pharasees were doing, washing their hands with complicated phases while Jesus just ate.

God Bless.

You do not need to be a member of an organized religion to go to heaven. The Church teaches that those who live a good life, follow their conscience and live in harmony with others, even if they have never heard about God, can go to heaven. This is called Baptism of Desire.

I was raised by two Believers, and they know about the Bible, and own one, and they raised me where you don't have to be a member of an organized religion to go to heaven. They also raised me where you don't have to go to church to be a true Christian.

I don't think any personal belief system will change the reality that heaven and the afterlife do not exist.

So let's focus on the here and now, and improve conditions in the world today, instead of calling them "sinful" and "corrupted," or believing in the supernatural at the expense of human civilization.

When the Savior established his church during his mortal ministry, and as it was further developed by the twelve apostles of that day, one important fact became conspicuously clear, which is: that salvation comes through the Church.

It does not come through any separate organization or splinter group nor to any private party as an individual. It comes only through the Church itself as the Lord established it.

It was the Church that was organized for the perfecting of the Saints.

It was the Church that was given for the work of the ministry.

It was the Church that was provided to edify the body of Christ, as Paul explained to the Ephesians.

Therefore it was made clearly manifest that salvation is in the Church, and of the Church, and is obtained only through the Church.

The Lord established one strait and narrow way, and understandingly observed that “few there be that find it.” (Mark E. Petersen, “Salvation Comes through the Church,” Ensign, Jul 1973, 108. Link below.)

Jesus Christ was the way and the path unto heaven. He showed us what we should do. If you read the Bible and keenly observe Christ, you will know the answer to this question. What did the Savior do? For one, he was baptized by one having the proper authority, ie John the Baptist. He prayed, he had faith, he fasted. He called and ordained 12 apostles and organized his church here upon the earth. In order to receive baptism by one holding the proper authority, that person needs to have received it from a previous person who held that authority. That "line of authority" comes from organized religion,. particularly a religion claiming to have that line of authority.

That line of authority is claimed in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Those who don't worship a particular God worship sth else. Some people worship money, power, fame. Some worship themselves. Some even worship basketball or channel 5. Everything is a religion. No one worships nothing. Everyone is a member of an organized religion.

because of religion i am brainwashed into thinking " yes" but if there is such a thing as heaven, i think God would be a little more understanding if i didnt want to follow some sort of organized religion. however if he is not a loving God, than who knows. if he is loving ( which most of us believe) than he should let us into heaven regardless.

No. The "Sheep and the Goats" parable warns Christians that some of the "members only club" will find Satan their bellboy and some very shocked people will find themselves children of God. So do not think too good of yourself and do not think to ill of yourself.

Of course not. We get to heaven strictly by the grace of God, and by what Jesus did for us on the cross. Its only by His blood that lets us into heaven. We dont have to belong to any church.
