You're in a rowboat, it's a beautiful day and you lie back and close your eyes, you are at peace. You are unaware of the fact that about 200 yards away is a waterfall with a 300 ft. drop.

I ask you, is it more important to know the truth or be at peace knowing nothing?

How can you be at peace in not knowing when you know that there is something out there that is very important for us to know (such as the truth of why we are here) that might stab us in the back if we continue in ignorance?

To ask "Why? What? When? Where?" is the path to wisdom. So that in wisdom we can take care of ourselves from the unknown. Yes, it is important to know the truth.... to seek for it, is the path to wisdom. I will certain not be in peace in not knowing. If something happens, I will know "Oh this is it. I understand." If we don't know, and something truly does happened, we'll say," What happened? What happened?" And we will received so many answers it will be confusing to know which is the truth. Incidently, we took all the garbled truth and forge a truth of our own which incidentally not the truth at all..... The reason of all the misunderstanding in the world today. Its not only because of difference in opinion, but because not knowing what truely matters.

I think it is better that both are important e.g to know the truth and be at peace.Knowing the truth will be the basis for making the peace agreement.By knowing the truth we can make its solution which should be agreed by both parties.

Hmm, if someone blindfolded you , took you to the edge of a cliff, where the only thing that would stop you after your thousand foot plummet to the bottom, would be sharp jagged rocks, and said,

" In front of you is a large field with tall grass and sweet smelling flowers, just begin walking forward and go into the field"

Would you think it was more important to know the truth....or would you rather be a peace until you step off?

I would guess if you have true peace, you know the truth. Jesus Christ died for your sins and wants to save you. He says he is truth. I never had real peace until I was saved. The more I live the life and try and obey him, the better I feel. I used to think I was giving up all the fun things. I now realize that God wants me to have real fun. No one knows for sure until the take that last breath. No one. But I can tell you I have never believed more. Do I understand it all? No. I did not understand it all when I was not saved. Do I have problems? Yes. I had problems when I was not saved. Please all my friends on Yahoo. Give it a try. Ask God to forgive you and to prove himself and he will. Do not look at any so called Christians who have caused you to feel like its not real. Its about a personal relationship with your God who loves you. That’s it.

I had to add. Do you think Carl Sagen had a grasp on the Universe? Come on. (LOL) No one can even explain where it stops or begins, cause it never does. It has no end, no beginning, unless you believe in God, who says he is the beginning and end, think about that.

You must learn to create peace through truth.

For instance, if your favourite politician is a liar (I know this rarely happens but...) then you should find a different politician to follow or take that politician up on the lies he/she makes.

Say your priest, pastor, minister would tell you the the Garden of Eden was originally where Jackson, Mississippi is now. Find another pastor.

It depends on what truth you are talking about! I would rather know the truth and find peace with it if I have to.

To be at peace. Period. What is the truth? A wise man, guru, once said the truth is that which never changes. How many things can you name that fill that description.

There is NO Peace with out knowing the Truth of God. Thats why those who don't know the truth of God are always back biting and cutting Christians down. They are made cause we got it, and they don't know how to get it.

Depends on the person and the subject. Some are blissfully happy in their ignorance and want to stay that way. Others won't ever be at peace without knowledge.
