What you can definitely do is get what many people call an "eggcrate" foam mattress pad. Get a king sized one and make sure your fitted sheet is tight enough to grip that and the mattresses and you will essentially have a king-sized bed.
I hope that helps!

Twin Beds Into King

I've heard of King size sheets designed to convert two twin beds into a king. These sheets have a foam channel in the middle to fill in the gap between the two beds. Check out a linens store or website to see if you can find one. Or you could just turn the mattresses so they run lengthwise. The reg King sized contour sheet holds them together. I have had couples sleep on it with no complaints. You may have already done that but hope it helps.

We are going through this now. I have a 10 month old who has slept with me since birth. She does have a crib in her room, but she has only slept in it a handful of times, and at this point she doesn't know that it's for sleeping. We went ahead and bought a twin mattress from Ikea, and she started sleeping on it last week. That way, as I slowly ween her from co-sleeping (though in no hurry to do that), I can go cuddle her as needed. When she's ready, we'll by the actual bedframe for the mattress. So far it's been great. It's nice not having to stress out about the possibility of her falling off the bed. Good luck!

Don't sleep in the "middle." or sleep "crosswise."
Get a big needle and thread, and sew the mattress together.
Or sell the twin beds. And buy one queen size bed. <}:-})

go to... www.blair.com at the top left type in bed pads. and then click on fiberbed mattress topper. I have one and love it. or go to Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens N Things. They have something similar.

Meijer, K-Mart or Wal-Mart in the pillow section. That's where they sell those foam mattresses that you put on top of your other mattress.
