i go to a high school that is fiiiillllled with junk food
honestly, theres vending machines everywhere and even at the counter they sell the nastiest stuff

my friends all eat pretty badly too but they dont ever get fat :(

i'm not fat at all, but i always get tempted to eat crappy stuff at school

i lose most of my weight on weekends or breaks, or days i am at home because i dont eat more than like 1000 - 1200 cals

on school days i eat around 1700 - 2000 cals and that isn't normal for my body type

i'm 15, 5'2 and 116 lbs and i'm afraid if i keep eating the crap from school that i will gain MORE weight.. last year i was 5'1 and 123 lbs and i lost all that weight during the summer because i ate right

HOW do i not get tempted and eat right at school without wanting to eat all the junk?

i'm sorry this is so long, i just wanted to give all the info i could haha

remember this saying "A MOMENT ON YOUR LIPS FOREVER AT YOUR HIPS" that should help you every time you think about eating junk food tastes good but is really really bad for you

!000 calories a day is not enough for a girl of your age..or of any age..unless she is trying to lose weight' 1700 should actually be fine as long as you are reasonable active but of course you don't want those calories to come in the form of junk food and candy.
when you think about it, alright, you live in a free country and have the right to eat junk if you want to do so and are old enough to make that choice or have your parents' consent to it. Fine. But school is where they teach you , not only history and science, but how to make the right choices for yourself in many ways. If you receive sex.ed. then no one has decided that as it is a free country there ought to be a few bedrooms available for the students who feel like ignoring their teachers...when you are advised about socially acceptable behaviour, no teacher will hand you a brick as you leave in case you should happen to feel like smashing a car window on your way home! Yet you are taught about nutrition and health and then sent off to fill yourselves up on the very stuff you ought to be avoiding!Talk about a mixed message! And think how awful for kids with real weight problems...it is no good saying that they lack will-power when the school itself is encouraging them to stay that way!
It might not be a bad thing to talk to some of your friends about this issue and begin to campaign for the school living up to its own teachings by at least getting rid of the bad food choices at meal times and placing serious health warnings on the vending machines even if they can not be bothered enough about their students to get rid of the machines altogether or have them replaced with something healthier!

OKAY GIRL....... STOP RIGHT THERE, IF U WANT TO NOT GET FAT, THEN U NEED TO EAT THINGS THAT HAS LESS CALS THAN THAT, AND EAT SALAD ALL THE TIME, AND AT SCHOOL, TRY NOT TO EAT THINGS OUT OF THE VENDING MACHINES LIKE EVERYDAY, SOMETIMES IT'S OKAY BUT LIKE EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE, NOT ALL THE TIME.

Tell one of your friends to stop you if u wanted to buy something thats bad and bring a big healthy meal like a salad with a yogert it will fill u up and you wont get that stuff. i have the same problem so i kno how you feel

you have to practice self-control. remember the difference in how you feel after consuming junk foods vs. healthy foods. don't feel pressured to eat junk foods just because everyone else does.

bring your own lunch and dont bring money with you to school.
