Created by Charles Taze Russell in the late eighteen hundreds. They are Christians, but they give all the credit to Jehovah. Often remembered by the numerous mistakes in their calculations about the times of Jesus' presence. A lot of blood-transfusion legal issues follow them, and they preach door-to-door, mainly. In general, they are good people.

Never have I read such a batch of misinformation. A 12 year old boy can talk down to his mother? Give me a break.
I lived with my mom in a worldly home, it was horrible. My life was so bad you can't imagine. Finally my dad who is one of Jehovah's Witnesses got me. His family is also Witnesses.
It was so wonderful to be loved by some many kind people who really live what they believe. I do not feel put down as a women. IN fact my grandma said "you can be anything you want to be in this world." Or you can throw your life away and do really wicked things. God gives us free will and it is up to us to use that free will to do good with our life. He gives us a book of instructions that is a how to manuel for a good life. It says "don't do drugs, smoke, have sex with guys and get pregnant out of wedlock." Because those things will hurt you and take away your happiness. Meet a nice christian boy and get married if that is what you want. Or you can find a job and support yourself and go that direction. Your life is up to you. Just don't ruin it."
I have never found the rules restrictive or cruel or mean.
The cage that keeps the canary in keeps the cat out.
So we all need boundaries, that means don't lie, steal, commit immoral acts, murder, and yes hate.
Don't ever hate life is to short to hate anyone.
So how is that bad? I am so happy here for the first time in my life. It isn't all that great out there with worldly people and drugs and smoking and having sex with every guy who comes along. You have to respect yourself before anyone else does.

People only think they know about JW;s before I married one I went to parties with guys who were Babtist and some went to TV evangelists and sang and prayed and did all the right stuff in the right places while they were there.
But when we went back to our dorm rooms they used drugs, smoked, used filthy language and most drank way to much.
We had girl friends over and never gave it a second thought about having sex with them.
these people told me all kinds of stuff about JW's from it is a cult to they let their kids die to they worship their literature.
When my wife started studying I was horrified "NO way"
But I found out it was all lies. They were really nice people I had known in the community. From the gas station to the bank tellers. To the guy that works in the post office.
His boy and I played football together and he wasn't like the others, he was a clean moral kid. Him and his wife came to his home games. The next year he quit football because we were such a bad influence on him. But it was his decision.
I have seem my wife completely change. We never fight anymore and she is so much more respectful of me. At first I made it really hard on her because I didn't want her to do it. But she never complained and now I encourage her to go.
So all the lies about them are just that and they are usually from people who are the most immoral people on the planet.
This disgusting guy from work talks bad about them all the time and then goes in the bathroom and sniffs coke.
Been married numerous times and has several live in lovers, says they are bad people. So usually it is either wicked people who got kicked out because they were wicked or else it is someone who just doesn't know them at all.

False religion. Many existing religious denomination today
call their Gods by different names, Some cxall Father, Jehovah, Allah, Jesus who is the embodiment of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
God has his name. Read
Isa 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
Exo 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Exo 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
Deu 28:58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
Jer 33:2 Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;
Amo 4:13 For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.
Amo 9:6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.
Isiah 5l:15, Psalm 111:9, Thesalonians 2:4, Isaiah 63:16, Proverbs 30:14
Jehovah witness are claiming that the word Father is not the name of God in as much as it is a common noun. so He has a proper noun name. They are false witness of God. as in isiah 43:10
Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

I have studied with the Jehovah's Witnesses, many times over 35 years.
I know they have prophesied the literal, eventful return of Christ many times. Early in the game they made their own translation of the Bible, which they claimed was more accurate than any other translation of the bible. There were too many contradictions in the original (perfect ?) translation, so they have done a few more. Still don't have a fluent copy.
I used to be intimidated by their vague concept of salvation, never knowing which good works completed my salvation, was I saved or not. If I could never be sure of salvation, why waste the short life I was given with all the rules they try to enforce.
Fortunately, the fruit of their works show them to be false prophets, (prophets ... as in teachers/expositors of God's word/will, who had to be very accurate in teaching God's word correctly as GOD spoke to them.)
I was relieved when I read that God gives a way to discern false teachers/prophets...if a prophet speaks of what God will do, and it does not come to pass, that is a false prophet/teacher - do not fear him. aka - they are teaching things not of God.
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits.
Matt 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
“The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart." - Jer 14:14
As individuals, they are good people.
Good people won't get you to heaven.
Do not follow the doctrines of men.

I don't know a lot about the Jehovah Witness people, but I do applaud their effort. No matter what the weather is they are out on the streets and we should all take a lesson from them.

They are wondewrful people who pattern their lives after the Bible. The are commonly misunderstood by many people. Those who don't know them prefer to direct you to anti-witnesses websites where you get the wrong information.
If you want to know the truth about God, would you get the right information if you went to Satan? No. If you want the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses, ask them.
My point was that if you want to know the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses, ask them directly. Asking such a question in an open forum such as this one is bound to get you a number of wrong answers.

I was married to one once.
I went to Kingdom Hall with his family....once.
I couldn't see how so many females would want to gather in a place that looked down on them that badly.
A woman cannot preach to a man...ever....yet a 12 year old boy can preach to his own mother.
Something's not fair about that, in my opinion.

they seem to have a genuine desire to know God, alot of them know their Bible's pretty well, but they take verses out of context way too often. i would visit the following two sites for more information.
