There are several books that explore the possibility that Jesus traveled to the East and learned of the Buddha's teachings or show the parallel teachings of Jesus and Buddha.
Many Buddhists regard Jesus as an enlightened being who taught others a message of peace and compassion.
Try The Lost Years of Jesus or Jesus and Buddha as Brothers.
BTW- Siddhartha (The Buddha's) lived from approximately 563 BCE to 483 BCE. Jesus lived from 8–2 BC/BCE to 29–36 AD/CE.
Therefore the Buddha lived before Christ.

To the one above me you have it the wrong way round
There is some speculation that Jesus traveled to India
I've never seen any hard evidence as yet
When you look at the Five Buddhist Precepts you also see them in the Ten Commandments
Make up your own mind
edit
He's gone that was fast
no he hasn't seven from the top
Buddhism is almost 2600 yrs
I see now there are two both saying the same thing but as the figures above show Buddha was here first
Can anyone one give typing lessons

Confucius was before Buddha I believe. But this makes no difference. This is a universal truth. You will find this in every major religion. I do believe Confucius is first to be documented.
How Jesus came to this knowledge is not of importance. The fact that he taught it to others to ease suffering. This puts him on the path of enlightenment. I feel he was fully enlightened and cherish his teachings. There is more to say on this matter but it would not be wise or useful.

Buddhists or Confucians? Two very different things. BUT, it's possible he had exposure as Buddhism was one of the first missionary religions from the east and wasn't one of the three wise men from the far east? Also there are many, many more correlations between Buddhist teachings and those of Christ, the Buddha just had about 50 more years to teach than Jesus did. Check out "Living Buddha, Living Christ" by...well I can't find my copy, must have lent it out. Also "Jesus and the Buddha" by Marcus Borg.

No where in the Holy Bible does it name Confucius. Jesus Christ came to this earth to redeem the world thru his blood on the Cross at Calvery. John 3:3 says except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. We must confess our sins and serve Jesus Christ if we are going to go to Heaven someday. Jesus gave his life so that he might save ours. There is no work we can do that can earn heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. There is no working our way to Heaven, faith in Christ is the only way, every time we see a cross it reminds us of Jesus for a reason, He wants us all to be in Heaven, Have you ever confessed Jesus as Lord? Have you ever admitted to Jesus that you are a sinner in need of salvation? If you would like to be saved and born again right now you can, just pray this simple sinners prayer and a new life will begin, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you made a decision for Christ or have any questions, Please send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Yeah, I think you're a little confused.
Buddhism is a few centuries AFTER Jesus.
Buddhism was actually created by a man named Siddhartha who later became called Buddha.
There are also two sects of Buddhism, the ones who worship Siddhartha as a 'god' and those who believe he was a brilliant man and just try to follow his teaching to enlightenment.
Read about him, he's actually an interesting man. Kind of like Aladdin but backwards. He was a prince that gave up everything after seeing the poverty of his people and decided to find the way to happiness, thus Buddhism was created.

I doubt Jesus had access to Buddhist writings, although I see what you're getting at. He was probably taught by rabbis.
