Floyd could KO Hatton in the first round and he still would not get credit for it. People would just say he beat a smaller fighter.

Floyd has to beat Cotto CONVINCINGLY to get the respect he deserves.

Until then there will always be doubters.

What credit are you speaking of? Mayweather is already universally recognized as the best PFP fighter. You can't mean a hall of famer yet, can you? If Mayweather easily beats Hatton, it will be viewed that Hatton was a limited fighter, more than Mayweather is oh so great(same goes if Floyd beats Cotto, should they ever meet). Floyd is the new "Roy Jones"(meaning, great talent, no opponents at his natural weight, for Jones that was Middleweight). Jones went too high in weight class and eventually got handed his ***. The only way Floyd loses if he insists on fighting above 147 in the future, because someone younger, stronger and hungrier will come along............eventually.

Ricky Hatton is NOT Arturo Gatti! Recently it seems some people are convinced these two are in fact the same person somehow, Hatton is not an old fighter like Gatti was aganst floyd, He is in the best shape of his life already. More importantly Hatton is NOT stupid. He will have a gameplan against Floyd as will Floyd for him, whether it works or not is anybodies guess.

you talk about sportsmanship, F*** that when was the last time Floyd showed any class or sportsmanship at all. i can admit I see talent in Floyd and he has gone through alot in his life to get where he is but I truly believe that he will have his *** handed to him in December. I don't think anyone sees Floyd as a push over I see one man Hatton's skills and abilities solving all problems that Floyd can throw his way, Floyd is a runner grabber and open up with a barage of lighweighted punches. Hatton has the ability to open up Floyd's gaurd and lad heavy knock out shots just ask castillo right rib cage. Floyd goes down in the 5th. but that doesn't mean he is any less of a fighter it just means Hatton is that much better then what everyone thinks.

as much as I say i do no longer choose to be the guy who likes to rain on different's parades... Sugar Ray Leonard says Hatton has a probability, eh? as much as a hero to me that a mortal human might properly be, Sugar Ray is likewise especially good at pretending that "contenders" provoke him. Ray Leonard, a guy that duked it out with Hearns, Hagler and Duran can't heavily think of that any of those adult males are outstanding warring parties. What Ray Leonard is, is media savvy and a especially good actor. he's merely hyping the combat to sell "The Contender" and it states as plenty in the object. ***quote Leonard, in London advertising Frank Warren's new television actuality boxing sequence The Contender, is generally in comparison to Mayweather as a fighter. unqoute*** as quickly as returned i might desire to assert that the only subject that's actual in boxing is what takes place between the ropes. and in specific circumstances even it is fixed. each and every thing else is merely HYPE. Y'all have forgotten how boring Mayweather could make a combat, because of the fact all you recognize suitable now may be the HYPE. don't think the hype, and till combat night, it is all hype. ***extra*** After reading the object i've got finally found out why brits are so perplexed approximately boxing. Is Mayweather scuffling with Hatton or Del la Hoya returned? follow reading American information, limeys.

no because he is a prick and no one likes a prick.

OK i need to throw this out because its pissing me off. hatton beats a 34 year old kostas tzyu and he beats up an old man on his down slope (even though tzyu has been dominating everyone he was fighting) while mayweather beats a 34 year old gatti and he was a great warrior (even though gatti has a suspect defense) . floyd beats zab ( who has not beat anyone worth mentioning) and once again he is a great warrior. while hatton beats Castillo ( the only guy to actually push mayweather to the edge and i think beat mayweather in their first fight) anyone who watched that fight knows mayweather lost and floyd himself said he would not have been upset if he lost that one. but hatton beats the same guy convincingly and castillo is all of a sudden a broken old fighter. **** floyd mayweather if no one likes him or gives him recognition its because he is giving himself too much recognition. i had castillo beating him in their first fight and i had the oscar de la hoya fight a draw.

yes floyd is a phenomenal talent but ultimately he is still a prick and boring to watch. dear floyd LET YOUR HANDS GO AND STOP TALKING ABOUT HOW GREAT YOU ARE. CASTILLO KICKED YOUR ASSSSSS

I doubt it because I don't think Hatton can or will fight like Gatti did .....nor do I think PBF will let Hatton control the fight or would be willing to duke it out with Ricky. I do believe PBF will use his vastly superior speed & boxing skills to frustrate Ricky. I think this fight will make Ricky look overrated but I don't think it will enhance PBF's reputation by dancing to another boring win---Like I said.....I hope they prove me wrong so we fans don't wind up watching another cure for insomnia.

first of all its once not wants, second he kinda has to actually beat hatton before he gets any credit. third, i dont think he will ever get the credit he does deserve, because he is, in fact, like someone else said, a prick.
