I started the first im chat at work but all others after that, he has started, whenever I go to break, he will appear, in one particular im, he made a comment to my statement. . . ."stop trying to make me fall in love with you." I didn't respond because I was shocked. After that last sentence, he responded w/just kidding. But I don't think he was. We have so much in common, never gone out but we have had a lot of conversation. I would love to go out with him but I have a boyfriend of seven years and he has a girlfriend of probably about the same. Not sure if there is something going on there or not so I figured I would ask for someone else's opinion.

Sounds like, YES.
I'd say if your long term relationship hasn't gone any further in all this time, you're long overdue for a positive change.
Good Luck

I would say he is interested in you , but could you see him breaking up without really knowing you.? He sounds like a very likable guy , are you reading more into his actions than is really there?. I would just see how he keeps up his conversations with you. If you really want to know what is going on with him ask innocently what he thinks about someone finding a new BF/ GF when you already have one .That would answer your question. You said you have had lots of conversation, this is just a simple question

Hmmm, it's entirely possible you're both looking for a way out of your relationships, just because you've been in a relationship for 7 years doesn't mean it's bullet-proof. I'd take a lot of time for you to think about whether or not you are satisfied with your relationship. If you're not, well, you know what to do, if you are, maybe still be friends with that guy, but you may need to tell him to cool it.

Check company policy as relationships through work often end up with both parties breaking up and that always makes difficulties and then poor performance.
Allot of companies don't like these relationship things happening because it interferes with business & productivity.

I'm betting he likes you. But he may be bored and just testing the waters. I would say stick it out with your boyfriend but it sounds like you are tired of that relationship. Just remember that chemistry is easy to spot and people love to gossip.

sounds like you both like each other
if you want a fling there it is
see if after starting a fling does he want more
then decide
if you both decide to stay with your own long term relationships, it would be good for your long term relationship too
it will spice up your love life and revitalize your love for your old long time relationship.
a fling can be inspiring
or you can choose to move on

He might just be a flirty person, or he could just be looking for some boosts to his ego.
It's definitely possible that he has a crush on you though. Not sure if I would act on it though since you both are already taken.
