I see so many here bash Catholics, what if we have a Catholic president and they pushed for the Catholic version of Christianity to be taught. He feels that since its the only true church. Would Protestant be all right with that or would they cite freedom of religion?
(Not going to happen people but I'm curious)

In a town near here, they have a private school where religion is a requirement. They can have people of any religion there and they receive a certain number of hours of religious education. Which religious class they take depends on their religion. They accommodate all religions. They only thing they don't accept is no religion.

I vote for the JW door knocker boys. Nobody likes them anyhow and the rest of us can all find out together just how stupid the idea of a theocracy might be like when they offer their beliefs in our schools. Picture the new school uniforms... LOL. (No sweat of the noses of atheists, mind you. The US has been running as all but a theocracy since it's inception and we've been battling for freedom FROM religion the whole while.)

Kids could be good again without pretending in a god at school. They just need better parents to teach them how to be good people. It has nothing to do with being accountable to a pretend being. It's about doing the right thing. Always.

yeah, it's one of those ideas that only work in the first stage, but fall apart when under scrutiny.
but i think religion WAS taught in schools until the 30s or the 40s.
either that or they'd stick with the general things that we can all agree with.
and really, there are other religions too.

What if Romney gets elected and decides it should be Mormonism that should be The Religion? Think we'd have a breakdown in society? lol

the country would collapse. slowly but surely. leaving most poor and uneducated. catholics who agree with him will rule the country. meanwhile, the economy will fail and we will spiral into another depression. soon, we will be a similar population and power in the world as canada due to constant killing and destruction of properties.
