It's happened once in NASCAR history-

but with the Jimmy/Chad duo - who can stop them?

It's boring watchen them win so much, but DANG they good!

I really believe he can. Jimmie is a great driver and he is with a great team. his crew chief (like him or hate him) is one of the best in the garage.
now with that said. there's a lot against it too. Matt Kenseth is a really good driver and Jeff Gordon is still Jeff Gordon. Jr. is coming to Hendrick so we will have to see what he is capable of. Kahne and Newman had a bad season this year and I expect them to be better next season. and a dark horse I think that maybe a player in the chase next year is Hendricks 4th car. The #5 of Casey Mears. I believe that he might make the chase and challenge his teammates for the championship.
In the end The Jimmie fan in me is saying he's just too good to be stopped and will become the second driver to win 3 in a row.

Well they definitely have everything going for them right now. Everyone on the team seems to be in a "zone".

The biggest difference between this year and next year is the amount of time everyone has had working with the COT. There has been a lot of seat changes, manufacturer changes, and crew chief changes which is going to put a whole new spin on things next year.

I kind of believe DEI and RCR might have tipped the iceberg with their engine woes. Seems like the last few races they were holding together and was strong (minus bad luck).

I think the biggest thing Jimmie needs to get there next years is to hold back (sandbag) during the races until the last 50 laps of each race. That will keep the competition guessing. If he runs too hard during the race it will let the competition know they have to improve.

If he can run conservatively and keep them guessing then he might have an extra advantage that puts him in the same situation next year.

I'd imagine he could take a 3 race vacation next year and still make the chase!

That being said I'd expect him to be right there again! I haven't seen anyone show that they can consistantly run with the HMS cars. 88,24,48 should all have 3 to 4 wins and make the chase relatively easily!

His domination of the 2007 chase shows what they are capable of! Very smart team and the cheating scandals are already forgotten!

If your a Jimmie fan it wont be boring. I like them when they win but Im sure they could do a 3 peat. That would be history.

I think we will see all the other teams in the off season, bring it next yr. The Dodge teams, and Roush-Fenway, RCR, the Toyota's, (DEI well not sure about them) but HMS will still win races with the 4 guys there, Jimmie, Jeff, Jr and Casey I'm sure they will all be out there winning...I just think we will see more winners next yr..I'm sure with HMS winning over half the races this season, the other teams probably feel spanked.. Yes HMS is great...But the rest will more wins next yr..With Jimmie/Chad anything is possible I just don't see a 3 peat.

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2008

It is very possible!!
The only thing that might play out different than any of us think is how HMS decides to take advantage of Dale Jr's marketability. I've seen some strange things go on in Nascar lately!!!

Of course he has a chance of making a 3peat. He has the backing of Hendrick so he will have top notch cars, one of the best crew chiefs in the biz and he is talented.

2008 will be the year of SMOKE!
