Probably just flying in from Ft. Huachuca to the Arizona National Guard base there on 52nd St. and McDowell, they do it all the time. Might be flying in from some where else who knows but that's probably where they're going.

During the Peace Enforcement Mission of 1991 to liberate Kuwait an army medical evacuation helicopter was shot down by Iraqi forces because of the easily identifable red cross on the doors of the helicopter. A female Army officer on the chopper was taken prisoner and later released. As a result, all helicopters were re-painted in tactical colors, eliminating that red cross which fits so neatly into the cross hairs of a portable missile launcher. If you have seen black military helicopters in the air over Phoenix they are probably assigned to an air force rescue squadron operating out of Luke Air Force Base.

Yeah I saw them too, all the way from Colorado.
But, I could have been seeing things or listening to the voices again.
