Yes i have. I will never forget b/c he was my 1st love.
It was a 15 1/2 month relationship. We fell apart on December 16th of 2006. I was soo heart broken and to tell u the truth i still think about him. I'm african american & he's caucasion. We actually stopped dating b/c i moved. It is actually funny how me and him started to date b/c we had 3 classes together and in everyclass we hated eachothers gutts until we started talking more and flirting which led to our relationship. I never imagined myself dating him cuz he was such a douche bag [mean aszhole]. But eventually he gave me his # and one night on the phone he asked me if i would consider dating him, I said yeh, and he said good b/c i want to kno if u like me, i said yeh again, and he said me too...so we started dating. We were such a cute couple, but I jus wasn't aloud to date and I wasn't aloud to go anywhere so we never got to spend much time outside of school, which bugged the hek out of him. But I have always had a thing for guys outside of my race and many ppl don't like me b/c of it but i jus say it's cool b/c i'm not here on earth to live life for other ppl. u kno? But yeh, i consider dating outside of my race jus to learn more about others and c where our relationship will actually go.By the way, our relationship had been the longest i had ever been in. O yeh, but i am a virgin so i couldn't possibly let u in on any sex secrets, hahaha. But he had jus lost his virginity to his ex girlfriend from a while back.

Hahaha yeah. I don't know what explanation you want but love doesn't really matter whether you're the same race or not. And there are many examples in the past. I feel that as long as you each respect and love one another, that's what matters most.
If you're worried that your friends might ostracise you and make jokes about it, then maybe you should reconsider being friends with these 'friends' because real friends understand.
Also, I've read that kids who are mixed blood are usually smarter than the average. :)

ME! ME! ME! I have dated men of many different races and I ended up marrying someone who is NOT of my own ethnicity. At the end of the day, I will admit that it was who he is that sealed the deal... but I am a total sucker for men with blue eyes. My husband has crystal blue eyes that I couldn't stop staring at the day I met him.
The men I dated of the Asian descent... (mostly Chinese), I find them to be too timid and are often bound by the social norms of our race. With that said, when I decided to break off a 3-year relationship with my ex, my mother couldn't be happier. She finally fessed up that she felt our personalities weren't a good fit. (She stayed silent during the relationship.)
With my husband, there was an instant connection that was beyond skin deep. We connected because we shared similar family values, we wanted the same things out of life, same religious values, and we have fun. Our lives were truly complete when we entered into each others' lives.
For anyone who has not dated outside of his/her own race, I highly recommend that you give it a chance. It may be life changing.

why is it any different falling in love or having a crush on someone from outside your own race, than it is with someone from your own race? Isn't that considered racist in itself, as you are suppose to be seeing/treating them as equals? Does that make love better?

I am dating someone who is Moroccan and his skin color (and religion) is not the same as mine. Other than that, I don't think I've had any crushes on anyone outside my own race other than some celebrity crushes. Who knows though, maybe I have and I just don't remember.

Sure why not. I think multi culturalism is great. I had a fried who was Swedish. She was only allowed to speak Swedish to her mother and German to her father. She spoke English to me and she spoke Chinese to her maid. She spoke four languages by the time she was eight! And people from different cultures and races can be equally loving/caring/accepting etc. Plus more interesting and you'd have more to discuss.

All the time. I love women from all countries and cultures. It's insane to limit oneself just because some fundamentalist nut says so. My most recent hard crush is a beautiful Persian-American physician. One word: Swoon.

Hey, yes I have. I mean its not about the person's race, or their apperance even...its about whats on the inside and if that person makes you happy. Because looks fade, but whats in the heart will stay forever. I say you do what makes you feel good and what feels right dont listen to what anyone else say do your thing! I say it very normal. I mean I have and l'm married to him now (:

I did once in the 7th grade. I only liked him for about a month. I'm white and he was hawaiian. I think I might have liked him because he was very funny. He was also a sk8er dude, which I find very hot. I moved on, as everyone does. the next year I found out he was gay... I was so embarrassed!!

I have and me and this guy tried to work it out but considering that he lives in NC. I think that falling in love out side of Ur race is pretty awesome. I love my generation b/c we fall in love and we don't even care what race is our partner. We could care less, for example in Manhattan, ppl from all races and cultures and backgrounds are going out and eating together, I think that this is very important and its good that they get along. I feel that if u love someone and go for it, as long as they appeal to u.
