They don't call it relaxin' Jackson for nothing.
I went during the summer and it was horrible with the heat and humidity.
Just remember mouth shut, ears open.

No in fact people call it relaxin Jackson.. I did my BCT there in 06 , I didnt have a hard time our class actually was there during the hottest time of the summer.
Pay attention to detail, learn your rank , prepare for your pt test, and you will be fine, there are NO STRESS CARDS the Army did away with that Years ago.
Good Luck!

Basic training is no harder in Fort Jackson, S.C. than any other army base, just keep your nose clean and follow instructions the best you can. You will enjoy it. I spent a few years in Fort Jackson and it is a very nice Army base.

There is no hard basic training anymore. I recently went from SSG to officer and had to go to BOLC 2 at Ft. Sill. I couldn't believe how softly they treat privates now in basic.

Ft. Jackson is probably the easiest U.S. military training facility, rivaled only by Lackland Air Base. If you go through Jackson and think it was hard, you're the biggest ***** on the face of the earth, and might as well roll over and die now since going out in public everyday frightens you as is...

I didn't go there, but the rumor going around the army is that its easy there, they call it "Relaxin' Jackson". They have "stress cards", that wussy recruits can pull out when they feel that they are too stressed out to continue training. Enjoy

LOL no- Might be rough during the winter. But SC winters can't be as bad as Indiana winters.
I went in summer of 2003 wasn't hard then I bet it isn't now. Probably more soft then it was then.
