Jeez, just look. And how gross is it to touch it? You are washing your hands, right?

Personally, my lid is down when not in use, because the grossness of an OPEN TOILET trumps all other concerns, bleach or no. And my toothbrush is in the cabinet.

You know when you flush, the toilet sends up a vapor plume of water? AND whatever else was in there. Just close the lid, everyone. Then, no matter what time of day or night, EVERYONE must lift, and EVERYONE must close.

End of story.

I can't speak for all women, but I was raised with the mentality that a man who leaves a toilet seat up when females are present in a house is thoughtless and selfish. It goes far beyond the possibility that I might fall in if I'm not careful. For a man to leave a toilet seat up knowing that there are women about indicates that he cares nothing for their needs, that he secretly feels he is better simply because he is a man and possesses the ability to use the facilities standing up.

Personally, I like men who consider my feelings. A man who doesn't consider my feelings when it comes to a minor issue probably won't consider them when it comes to a major issue. It's possible (even probable) that other women feel the same way.

I have a baby, so the toilet seat needs to be firmly closed with the lid latched so that my daughter doesn't fall in or drop toys in. Pre-baby, I could care less how the seat was left. It is not like I am so ditzy that I will fall in the toilet if the seat is left up. I always look before I sit.

Because it is nasty not only that but when my husband leaves the toilet seat up my son tends to play in the toilet since he has yet to figure out how to open the lid, he thinks it is a lot of fun to play it and put things in it when it is up. My daughter will get up to use the restroom in the middle of the night and being 4 years old she doesn't think about the toilet seat being up and sits down and falls in and gets soaking wet. Not only all of that but it just looks tacky and makes the room look messy and not so neat.
I mean seriously it is not that hard to put it down after you are done.
But that is just my opiouin

If I touch the toilet seat to put it back down, especially when it's not my house and I don't know how clean it is, I must wash my hands before I can use the toilet myself, then wash them again when I'm through. It's just a small courtesy to the next person using the facilities.

Because I don't like getting my butt wet when it falls in the toilet due to some guy not putting the seat back up.

Taking the backward "plunge" in the middle of the night is NOT funny. Once a man experiences the "plunge" he'll appreciate why the females complain about the seat being left up.

Hmm, why is it such a crime to care about our feelings?
Why is it a crime not to cook dinner when we're sick?
Why is it a crime to expect help around the house?
Why is it a crime to take time out for ourselves when it's o.k for you men to go out whenever?
Why is it a crime to treat women like equal partners?
Why is it a crime for a woman to not want to be your slave in the bedroom.....
