I have depression and I'm taking antidepressants. When I was a kid I used to always misbehave in school, and my teachers told my mother I had ADHD, and that I should be medicated for it, but she didn't believe in doing that. I'm not so hyper anymore, but I do have a hard time paying attention at work, and my job requires (as most do) a lot of attention. I'm not sure if it's the medication making my "zomby-ish". No one has told me I'm bein a zombie, so I don't think thats it. Just on the job I can't seem to keep up with everything. Would there be a problem if I kept taking my anti-depressants, and started taking ADD meds?

There are medications that adults take for ADHD, and yes there is sometimes a connection between ADHD and depression. If you think you are having trouble concentrating talk to your doctor; any change in medication should be monitored for problems as I am sure you know.

Do not take anti-depressants, my best friend in the whole world took them and died because she had ADD and commited suicide. The pills enchance your endorphans but don't let you release them so it basically doesn't do anything and may make things worse. Maybe you are the type of person that needs more love and attention. Get out talk to people hang out with friends more and sleep. Sleeping and eating a healthier diet will help you to focus more. Consult a doctor if things don't work out.

I might desire to believe the submit on soliciting for greater rationalization out of your therapist. PTSD is a farly new prognosis despite if maximum regularly linked with conflict correct subject concerns and there are nonetheless a fairly few team in the psychological wellness device that seem to no longer understand lots approximately it. maximum regularly PSTD is pasted directly to grandchildren infants spouse's etc of veterans who've served in armed try against such as Vietnam and Iran conflict who go through PSTD simply by fact of dealing with a severe emotionally and or violent annoying journey and not speaking approximately after the shape. Which seems to be inflicting psychological wellness subject concerns with the infants etc such as schizophrenia, Bipolar, melancholy etc so there may be a link on your previous with somebody who has PTSD or you have had the annoying journey and it has synthetic that's self to ADHD so which you would be able to stay to tell the story in existence. Edited because you have final published: As I pronounced earlier PTSD is a incredibly new prognosis and the psychologist that grew to become into treating me with connection to PTSD simply by Vietnam conflict had pronounced to me that he had under no circumstances heard of it until eventually he grew to become into working with Vietnam veterans and there families. On convey it as much as three of the folk in the psychological wellness device maximum knew no longer something approximately it and tend to diagnose it as different issues so confliction with PTSD and different issues may be hardship-unfastened until eventually there’s greater analyze on it. i think of that simply by fact your therapist has knowledgeable him/herself on it perchance that's going to reassurance you which you have discovered a sturdy one.
