Because those are the "other guys" and we, whoever "we" might be, are right.
This is no different from people believing their sports teams are the best.

There are not any other Christian sects that I know of--just one. The reason people think they are right and others are wrong is because they are HUMAN!!! We almost all always think what we believe is right and if you don't think exactly the same way--then you must be wrong. People are afraid of what they do not understand.

I didn't realize all the other Christian sects were wrong. Am I supposed to think they're all wrong?
I'm nondenominational...I've attended lots of different churches, of many different denominations. What I've found is that NONE of them, even the nondenominational churches, have it 100% correct. But we mere mortals do the best we can.

i do no longer think of my sect of Christianity is greater efficient than others in any respect. I surely have my very own ideals which come from the bible, and that i've got a tolerance for different religions and that i visit know their religions, yet i won't have self assurance what they suspect. it relatively is what fairly bothers me, actual Christians do no longer think of that they are greater efficient than different sects. some might, yet that may no longer good. Please no stereotyping.

The Bible is not the final authority! God IS!!!
If people would just trust the Holy Spirit as Jesus did, nobody would ever be wrong. God would tell them what is wrong.
God is not a belief. All beliefs pale in comparison to the truth.
People never interpret the Bible correctly without the influence of the Holy Spirit.

One of the reasons I am not religious. Most religions but especially Christianity seem to always be in a peeing contest to see who can pee the furthest and the winner is right..
I don't understand why ALL of us cannot be right. What is right for me may not necessarily be right for you but why argue about it? It is as endless as the chicken/egg argument.
Have a good night dear friend

Nothing. Mine is right for me, but it might not be right for someone else. I like the ritual, the continuity, and the quietness of it all. I'd be very uncomfortable in a church or religion that was loud and not very structured.

The Bible is what makes you wrong or right. The Bible is the final authority.
It is up to you as an intelligent human being in the age of increased knowledge to do your homework and find out exactly what those ancient manuscripts really said.

what is a christian sect?!
if a church believes and teaches the bible and follows Christ as head of the church then it's a christian church...it's when other wierd non-biblical crap gets into it and takes away from the truth....then we may think it's wrong.
blessings.

I totally agree with what Big Brother D said. And also, Jesus himself said that there would be those who claimed to be his followers, but who really wouldn't be doing his, or his father's will - Matthew 7:13 - 23.
