a final fitting should be at least 3 weeks prior so that you don't have to pay extra for a rush and there is time to fix any errors..

Well It really is up to you.My sister is getting married in February. We are getting the measurements now to start making the dresses..She plans to have everyone go get fitted again in January,I believe.I think we are kinda cutting it close but I know the dresses will be down in time.I would get the fitting at least 3 months before & have the final fitting around a month before..Everyone is trying to mantain the same weight to until after..Good luck!!

Alterations can take up to 2 weeks at some places, so you want to make sure your final fitting is 3-4 weeks before the event. Whatever you do, do not cut it too short, give yourself plenty of time.

I have been in a few weddings, and will soon have my own. I recommend at least three months before the wedding.

8 weeks before. When it's ready at about 6 weeks before you will be able to try it on again and then have time to have anything corrected that still isn't right.

I would do it atleast 5 months before. So you have time to order them. Then do it again about 3 weeks before incase anyone gains or loses weight. That way you still have time to get them altured.
good luck!!

IT SHOULD ACTUALLY BE UP TO YOUR BRIDESMAIDS. I HAVE BEEN IN 11 WEDDINGS AND MOST OF THE WEDDINGS WE CHOSE OUR OWN SEAMSTRESS/TAILOR. MY DRESSES WERE FITTED THREE WEEKS PRIOR. IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT PICKING OUT DRESSES AND CHOOSING STYLES AND SIZES AT LEAST FOUR MONTHS PRIOR.
GOOD LUCK!!
