I certainly didn't expect my mom to be right. About everything.

I expected marriage to be different, I expected to have a CAR and my license (sad, huh? Almost 27 and I don't have a driver's license, lol), I didn't expect to be living in Germany, I CERTAINLY didn't think I'd ever marry an Army guy...and I figured by now I'd be a mother and/or a teacher.

But I like my life. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I expected to have a lot more control over the events in my life. Or maybe more accurately, I thought it would be easier to control the various aspects of my life.

I thought I'd be overseas by now and maybe even have a family. I would have never guessed that I'd own a home, have a career and live alone. But the trick is to enjoy where you are while aiming at the dreams you want to fulfill.

I thought I would know what I would want to do when I "grew up". My mind was set on what I wanted to be throughout my whole life... I have changed my major 4 times since I have been in college. Obviously, I no longer have a clue what I want to do when I "grow up".

I thought that since I was eleven years older, I'd die before Steve. But he cheated and committed suicide, so I am unexpectedly alone.
