Would a daiquiri be considered a feminine drink, like a Cosmo or a Lemon Drop?

Household debate.

We agree that it tastes good, but not on whether it is considered 'feminine' like a Cosmo.

it is more feminine than a cosmo or lemon drop. at least there is 2-3 oz of liquor in a cosmo or ld. use ice, sweet & sour and 1 1/4 oz of liquor in a daiquiri. and cannot be compared to a rita!

The original Daiquiri is made from 3 ingredients: rum, lime juice and sugar. It was served in a tall glass packed with cracked ice.
In 1909 Admiral Lucius Johnson, tasted the cocktail in Cuba and introduced it to the Army and Navy club in Washington DC
By 1930's it was reportedly as one of Ernest Hemingway's favorite drinks.
By 1960's it was one of the favorite drinks of president John F. Kennedy.
In The Godfather Part II, Fredo Corleone orders a banana daiquiri .
In the movie Adam's Rib, Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn end their work day with a daiquiri.

But today it has change to a tropical fruit drink, and some Daiquiri drinks can be extremely sweet and for this it has been considered a feminine drink (the ladies have a sweet tooth compare to man) but if you Just play around with the ratios a bit until you feel that it isn’t too sweet or too sour for your palate, you will end up with a drink that sometimes pleases a lady's taste and others a man (The sweet/sour balance really does tend to vary from one person to another)

At the end the Navy, the Army, Hemingway, JFK and Don Fredo Corleone can be mistaken.

No it's not a girly drink!
It's very similar to a Margarita but made with rum.
If you order it have them make it on the rocks and 'not too sweet'!
Cosmos and L.Drops ARE girly along with Chocolate Martinis and the like!
