I am looking at getting married in June and have been looking at kind of the same pallet...I just went into a bridal shop and stood in front of a row of gowns, not paying attention to the style, just the color and started pairing them up, it helped a lot seeing them together. Like you, I was leaning towards sage, but didn't know if I wanted a gold, soft brown, cream...then I liked the purple...but my person favorite color is pink and it doesn't always look good on women. Then I thought....why just 2 colors? Why not sage and lavender, with gold as an accent color? Because a hint of gold here and there, in decorations of flowers always adds a hint of elegance! or since I like pink...maybe sage and a soft brown or cream and pink as an accent..and my flower girl can have a pink dress? Just an idea...yrs ago, at my brothers wedding, his wife to be couldn't pick 2 colors...so she had a maid of honor and 3 brides maids....lavender, light green, light blue and pale yellow, and the flower girl in light pink, then her bouquet was a mixture of all the colors....it was BEAUTIFUL!!!

Lavender and yellow are lovely, if you get the right shades of each.
Sage and purple are good - not so much lavender, but a dark lilac at least.
Above all, skip the gold.
For a July wedding, we had pink, lilac, yellow, and light teal...

I got married in March and I had lavender and pale yellow. It was beautiful. Maybe a little early for spring but I like those colors. Go for it!

I like both the lavendar and sage and the lavendar and butter yellow.. my only concern is that the lav/yellow might look a little eastery if you are using a lot of both.. i would only use one as an accent color.. but I also think the lavendar and sage would be especially beautiful with bright white..

I like Lavender and Yellow...it's very Easter tho so throw a little bit of a red in there or something.
Simply, what are your favorite colors? Go with those!
Also, my Bro and Sis in law did black dresses with white trim and they were gorgeous!

from your ideas i pick lavender and yellow.
from my own idea i think you should consider:
-peach or burnt amber color and gold (good for a fall wedding)
-yellow and gold
-white and gold
-lavender and gold
i just love gold..lol
but also it all depends on the season your getting married and or maybe if theres certain symbolisms from colors that you want to incorporate in your wedding, or if you have a theme , etc...

Go to the paint store when there have 10 million color cards and think SPRING. Pull samples of may and spring colors. Go home and play with them. In May I think Jonquils and those little purple things. So maybe Jonquil and a green, which fits in with your list already.
And don't go for perfect matches on things, Make them blend happily but not like one big blob because they are exactly same color. Picture look better with some play in the tones.

I like sage and gold. I wouldn't worry about people associating it with Christmas, since you're having the wedding in May.
