Romans 1:20 says "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." The bible teaches that everyone can look around and, if they are careful to consider what they see, learn about God from the things he has made. The sad truth is that many people do not want to know God in this way - they do not wish to glorify God or give him thanks. They wish to take all the credit for themselves. So their thinking becomes futile and their foolish hearts are darkened and they tell people things such as what you list in your question. However, the fact that people prefer to ignore what they can learn about God by the things that God has made does not negate the fact that one can look around at the things God has made and learn about him if that person is willing to give God all the glory and be thankful for all the blessings that God bestows on that persons life.

Hindsight being 20-20, I know that God has always been walking by my side, whether I was aware of His presence or not.
Through all my life, through all my experiences, He has been there - never allowing me more than He knows I could handle - whether at the time I believed in Him or not or asked Him to intervene or intercede or not.
The difference between being discerning of God's presence in your life, down to the smallest details... has to do with developing a closer relationship and a closer walk with God. A partnership, so to speak.
And that necessitates that we study the Word of God, in order to understand what it is that He requires of us. It also means that we learn how to surrender what we want or need or expect, in order to be able to fulfill His plans for us.
"Let Go and Let God" is not simply a cute catch-phrase. It really works if we are really willing to do it.
Mat 7:7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Peace & Love,

Faith is a grace from God by which we are able to know and love Him. Many people try to approach Him through logic and reason, seeking some type of proof of His existence. I can't blame them, really, as I have looked for the same thing myself. Sometimes I think as human beings we just want to be sure, we want to know that something is real before we put our trust in it.
With God, it is through my faith that I know Him, and His reality I feel in my heart. It's how I know He's there. Sometimes I doubt the whole thing, and it gets rough. What brings me back is the love that I know is real.
Ask Him to let you know that He is there. Even for those of us with the weakest faith, He shows Himself to us even then.
Hope this helps. God bless.

Christians think that they own GOD.
(GOD is far to big for just one religion)
God shows himself to EVERYONE, ALL THE TIME. You just may be too caught up in the moment to notice. Open your heart and breathe. Shut your eyes and let go of all your selfish wants and desires and GOD will light up your soul. Your inner self might just be too busy, trying too hard to *see* GOD, when GOD is always right there in front of you.
Try to seek and it is lucid.
Try to hold fast and it slips away.
Try to follow and you are lost.
Stand still, open your heart and GOD will come to you.
God's only for the faithful? Then why haven't all of them seen him? GOD wants your heart to be that of a small child. Then you will touch his face. Adults forget how to trust in what they can not see.

God reveals Himself to those who humble themselves and are willing to turn to Him. This includes Christian or non-Christian.
Certainly reading the bible would be evidence of a seeking heart, evidence that the person really wants to know the truth! But God can reveal Himself apart from bible study.
But, yes, there is always a "prayer of the heart" - even if it never verbalized. A prayer, a hunger, a desire to know the true and living God.
god bless

In all seriousness, God is 'shy' with those who don't believe because He wants to give them a choice. In the NT, when it says that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, it doesn't mean that God will *force* you to bow and confess. It means that just by the nature of who you are, if you see the glorified, risen Lord Jesus Christ --- with the white hair, sword coming out of His mouth, feet of brass, face shining like the sun, voice like many waters, you have no choice but to bow. Again --- it's not that you have no choice because He's forcing you. Your own nature can't help but to do this when you see God unveiled.
Notice how in the Bible, when a person sees an angel, their first inclination is to bow, and the angel always has to tell them something like "Get up, I'm not God --- just a created being like you are." If that is how humans respond when they see unveiled angels, imagine how it will be when you see the God of the universe.
God wants you to love Him because you *want* to. Not because your mortal flesh can't help it because He is so awesome.
Does that make more sense? :)

Because if he showed himself to the unfaithful they would ignore it. The best example is the miracle of birth. The Godly person{need not be Christian either} sees the miracle of the hand of GOD, but the unbeliever just sees a normal body function. I hope this is some help to you: the faithful see GOD the unfaithful can not see his work, for they are blind to it!

Would you show up somewhere if everyone there ignores, rejects and denies you? It's not worth his time revealing himself to people who don't want to see. Obviously you admit that you would believe in him if he showed himself to you by asking this question, and obviously you are too afraid to find him for yourself because you would have to change who you are. Let me assure you you have nothing to fear but a purposeful, loving, joyful life and afterlife, does that sound so bad? (and by the way, when God does finally reveal himself to everyone, it will be too late).

Interpretation.
A believer will interpret a stain on a wall as an image of God, an atheist will see just a stain.
Ironically, an atheist will see Jesus in this picture, a believer will not: http://slackmosphere.com/upload/thumbs/a9e65e19625154a54fde21afbb1c5999.jpg
