i don't "believe" in it, i - "know it"..... to explain ........ a very simple version of my "belief".
all matter ,whether animate or inanimate, gaseous or liquid is made up from various atoms protons neutrons etc....... and we all know that if you split an atom there is a humongus release of energy.
(nuclear explosion)
even though the atom is split, the energy from it is still there-travelling outwards in a new guise !
basically ..it does'nt take much more fathoming, to realise that a similar thing happens with our "energy" - "spirit" - "soul" or concious "self", in-that our mechanical system might shut down, but our ethereal being is then free to travel at the speed of light and beyond, wherever and whenever it chooses!
i do know i have spoken in many tongue's,eaten in many countries,my name? ....... what's in a name?
i do know that all of our live's are mapped out for us in advance, also there is nothing to be afraid of except fear ! ,and that death is the only journey for which there is no need to pack ! .........see you in another life !

I believe in resurrection of the dead when Jesus returns. Until then, despite what some churches claim, the Bible says that the dead are dead and can't praise the Lord or do anything.
If there were heaven-going for everyone at death there would have been some very miffed people who were brought back to life by Jesus.
Lazarus, in particular, had been dead for four days so if he did go to heaven on death he would surely have been surprised
to be returned to this mortal coil.
The interesting thing about Lazarus was that the authorities wanted to put him to death again because he gave witness to the powers that Jesus had been given from his Father.
Only Jesus went up to heaven to be with his Father - onlookers witnessed it.

I believe in reincarnation. Life is made up of cycles. When we sleep at night, I believe that our spirit often leaves our body, travel in the spiritual realm, and the returns before we wake. The reson dreams can seem so real, is because they often are, but in the spiritual realm. When we die, our spirit is again away from the body, but this time it will eventually crave to return to a body, but will need a fresh body, that is a right fit for it, and comfortable. What one believes about the spiritual, is ultimately an intuitive thing. Not everyone has the same intuitive sense. I believe that reincarnation of the continuous type, shows the most respect, for the value of the type of reality we are in right now, and is contained in our universe. This belief does not allow for an alternative reality type afterlife, more to one's liking. One needs to respect the value of struggle, in bringing out the most in the human spirit and potential. A strong spirit good at contributing positively to addressing the serious problems of this world, will do well also, in future lives with these attributes.

Personally I don't believe in life after death, I think it's just a concept which people believe in because its comforting, but realistically I think the most likely scenario is that your brain just stops functioning and you just cease to think, but I don't think it's a totally negative possibility, you'll be dead so what do you care, true you won't feel anymore happiness but also you won't feel any more sadness too. But I keep an open mind so I accept there might be life after death, guess I won't know til it happens to me!

I believe what the bible says, when we die we sleep until judgement day, then we all come together living on earth (not sure how we'll fit, but it'll work out) and those that are good live forever and those that are bad go to hell (hell is hebrew for grave, so the bad people go back to sleep).
I don't know quite why people say when we die we go straight to heaven, I thought only really special people did that, like moses and elijah and jesus, but I guess it's just easier to explain to children that "nanna and grandpa have gone to be with jesus".

I don't believe in life after death, there is no evidence, it is not rational and it doesn't make any sense.
No one has connected to a dead person under controlled conditions.
Have a look under csicop on Google, if you want rational thought on any paranormal subject.

I believe in Reincarnation, principally because it brings justice to the human experience.
It explains why some children are born into dreadful situations of war or suffering, and others are born into more fortunate situations.
It explains why those who inflict cruelty on others and exploit their fellow man for personal gain, often live-out their lives without apparent karma, or cause-and-effect touching them.
I believe in reincarnation, also because we have so much to learn, that a single human lifetime couldn't possibly be enough.

Life after death cannot exist. If you are alive after death then you were never dead.

Yes. This can't be it. There must be a purpose of us living now. We can't just live and die. What we do now must determine what we do in the next life, and we must be judged on our behaviour in the next life, so people who have been good can get rewards and people who haven't punishments - it's only fair.
