"Thought went into my position. Faith went into yours." , or do you take it as a complement?

If you find it offensive, why?

Hello?? The question is directed at people of FAITH, not believers in general.

Offensive? No.

Presumptuous? Yes

How would you know that no thought went into my position? You have assumed this. Have you ever studied the case for faith or are you just assuming it has no basis?

Not offensive...but not entirely accurate. Would you say it is false if I said I put thought and faith into my position?

Also, I think if faith was absent from your thought process completely, then you missed a component of the process.

So, I think you need thought and faith to come to whatever conclusion works best for you.

Much thought is based on faith in something, so what you call thought and what I consider faith are the same or similar

Faith is the easy option, that's why the more gullible and ill-educated believe in the sky fairy.

Whereas those with thought need at least a small amount of intellectual intelligence, grounded in reality.

When I saw you put that in an answer, I thought to myself, "Wow, ANOTHER assumption!"

While faith was the final catalyst in my decision, it didn't start the process. No, no, no, that was ALL thought.

So it's not a compliment, but it's not offensive either. It's just your opinion. *Shrugs* And you're entitled to that opinion.

I did like the rest of that answer, though.

faith does not negate thinking. If you were really thinking it out, you would realize faith is the greatest thing. Wisdom and knowledge are two entirely different things. I do not find it offensive though, they did and said far worse to and about my Savior.

The first answers sums it up pretty well. Christian doctrine proclaims that mankind is sinful and flawed, therefore our reasoning skills and science is thwarted by indoctrination.

Edit:------

THE BIBLE:

Vegetation was created on the 2nd Day, the Sun on the 3rd.

All thoughts are all emotionally led. Athiests are so completely focused on reasons to hate God,.. they never stopped to think why God is right. Probably because they hate God,.. and hate blinds people. They just look at anything Christian with a heart of distrust.

They are so blinded with hate. Almost all of them look at weak Christians as a reason to say God has failed.

Yet the most common thing I've herd about Christians being wrong is that they hate science and science has proved the world round.
