Of course Cats are already named. They have their own names according to TS Elliot. We call ours Mickey.. as in "Mickey Finn"....

Have you really been drinking? We can call you Bubbles, then we will now have Boobles, Bourbon and Bubbles! ~
Anyway, I had a hard time naming my two cats, waited till they got a bit older so the name would seem fitting to their personalities! ~ The cool cat I call Simon, somewhat long haired and very sure of himself very paticular about his cleanliness and kinda bossy!
The other cat is pretty and fluffy so named him Teddy as he looks like a little bear and quite fluffy but he is kind of sloppy. Kind of like the Odd Couple! They are both a carmel and white color and sometimes get the two mixed up!!
When I want Simon to come in I call him and he actually comes running to the door, has done this for a few years now.
Just love them to death!! There names are so fitting, but... maybe Teddy should have been named Barney.

I named both of them. They're both girls, however the first was named when we thought she was a boy. The first (5 months old) we got from a friend who owned her mother; her name is Roo. We named her that because she is an amazing little jumper and jumps for no reason whatsoever all the time.
The other little girl (4 months) is Winnie. We got her from the shelter, but she was not named because she was a stray and was so young. We named her to go with her 'big sister', and also because she has orange spots (Winnie the Pooh is orange). She actually acts like a bear a lot (hard to explain) so they both have pretty fitting names!

I had a male cat named "kitty kitty". He was a stray and I got him to come by saying here "kitty kitty" and after I petted him he followed me home from the park. He was such a good cat, and very smart too. He was intact though and he ran out of the house when he was almost 2 and was stolen by an old "cat lady" who refused to give him back, I couldn't do anything about it because I couldn't prove that he was mine, no microchip.
I also had a female cat named "Annie". I named her that because she was an orphan. Her mom was accidentally shot by a neighbor who thought she was an opossum in his attic, then he found the kittens and I kept "Annie" I had to get rid of her when she was 2 because she was biting the children, harassing the dog to make him chase her, hissing at company, pooping in blankets... and being all around mean (she hated everyone except for me), so I gave her to a friend with older children.

We have quite a few cats but only a few have been given names, The oldest of the cats that I have had since I adopted her as a teenage kitten 6-7 years ago. Her name is Molly. Then there is Princess and Missy, they are sisters and are both tortoiseshell color, princess has a white "mustache" on her upper lip, I named her Princess because of the way she walks, she walks prettily, and she looooooovvvvves to be pampered and petted. Missy is not as prissy as her sister but she likes being petted and loves to sit on my husband when he's laying down. Then there is Fuzzy Wuzzy, he's the only long hair we have, I named him after the little song "fuzzy wuzzy was a bear fuzzy wuzzy had no hair." but I've changed to the words to fit fuzzy, "Fuzzy Wuzzy was a cat, Fuzzy Wuzzy has no hat, but Fuzzy Wuzzy isn't bare, because Fuzzy Wuzzy has a sh** load of hair" Then there is Chiro as in chiropractor because he will let my husband pop his neck like a chiropractor.
Then there are two tortoise shell cats that are aunts to princess and missy that we gave to my sister-in-law their names are possum and gizmo, when possum was just a little kitten, it found it's way to our second bathroom, well when my husband went in to the bathroom he got a scare and thought the kitten was a possum, and gizmo is named cause she reminded my husband of gizmo off of gremlins, she has a black stripe running down the middle of her face. unfortunately they no longer remember either me or my husband.
