Well Panda, I guess you missed the point that humans have 4 times the level of this carcinogenic in them compared to animals who got cancer with that much less in studies. Why do you think our kids get this?

Not because they LIVE LONGER, they are KIDS, it's because of garbage they eat.

Watch out for hotdogs, cold cuts, frozen and canned food...the most toxic things you can eat loaded with nitrates and chemicals.

As always, there is more to this story than what was reported. This is old news . . there have been at least three studies done in the past few years (one in Europe) where the levels of bisphonal A were insignificant to human health. But, politically . . hey . . who wants to take chances that you might be giving kids cancer in a bottle . . so a story is published in order to get mothers all upset. Basically . . here is what you do . . take the story with a grain of salt. There is currently not enough evidence that this chemical has ever caused someone to grow up and have breast cancer. But, if it bothers you . . than do not use plastic baby bottles . . switch to a bottle or something else. Until conclusive scientific proof can be established . . banning bottles, dental fillings (that's the other thing that bisphonal A is used for), and cans . . is a little dramatic.

"Within the United States, an exposure of up to 50 µg/kg/day (50 ppb) is considered safe - satisfying a thousandfold margin of safety[13] - by the United States Environmental Protection Agency."

One in four people have been dying of cancer for a long time, it's because we live longer now than we did a hundred years ago because we aren't dying from TB or measles or typhus or cholera!

It is not possible to make the world "safe", only "safer", and you would save infinitely more babies' lives if they weren't allowed to travel in cars, or if it were illegal for parents to smoke or drink, than if you could make plastics that had no trace of bisphenol A!

You know what else causes cancer?
Breathing, eating anything, and walking around.
Seriously, practically anything you can possibly do can be somehow linked to cancer. I'm not saying you might as well go smoke cigarettes because everything causes cancer, but I don't think people need to be terrified of everything around them. Obviously some things are far more likely to cause cancer than others, like smoking and excessive exposure to the sun.
Cancer is definitely a serious problem, but you shouldn't have to live your life in fear because of it.
