I did find out that only 10% goes to the police. I was a little mad.

A razor would work....yes, I'll try that.

And I usually get a warning also....

WOW Grad....that's awful. I'm truly sorry you were subjected to those officers. That is totally wrong. I wish things like that didn't happen. Those police were acting on their own prejudices though. They do not deserve to be officers. I'm glad they got suspended and their paychecks should have gone to you.

Go ahead and laugh!
Yeah, I know I look pretty stupid with a sticker of a police badge on my forehead but when I get out of my next moving violation, I'll be the one laughing!

I've never given a donation and my brother can get only so many FOP emblems so he,his wife, and my dad who's retired have one. I do have my brother's card strategically placed behind my license and registration/insurance stuff in the hopes that when I hand an officer my information, he will see it, and not give me a ticket. Why, is this not a good thing?

I never do notice those things. But I do 'warnings' about 98% of the time anyways. I'm not a traffic cop.

On the window? Use a razor and Goo Gone.

On the plastic painted bumper? Use mineral oil.

If you ask me 10% is way too much for those fools. I will never pay them any money just so they can harass me.

I was stopped 13 times in 2 months, but only received two tickets (and I didn't cut that light). They searched my car 4 times. The first two they had my permission but found nothing. The third time I said no but they searched it anyway, and again they found nothing. I kept my mouth shut on that one and let it go, hoping that they would put together that just because I'm Mexican doesn't make me a drug dealer. Then they searched it a fourth time, and again they didn't find anything. I took it to the department head, and the three that were harassing me were suspended for two days (with pay). So for harassing a law abiding individual who just happened to have darker skin, they got an extra paid weekend.

Another time when I had to work with the police at a mall, I saw one officer tell a black kid to quit cursing. The kid said "OK," and the officer yelled at him he needed to say yes sir. I didn't understand and neither did the kid why the officer went to such an extreme, but he wasn't done yet. When the kid took a couple of extra seconds to answer (mostly because he was confused), the officer arrested him for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

I went to court and testified for the kid, and he was able to get off. Could you imagine what would have happened to the kid if I hadn't been there? He would have been convicted and sent to jail for those charges. Imagine how hard it would be for him to get a job with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on his record.

Police Officers are among the most evil people on the planet, and I will never help them commit their evil

i'm a little embarrassed - i never make a donation. probably never will now that i know they only get 10%. i'd rather give to the volunteer firemen when they're out there on the street collecting money in their fire hats.

When you donate to those tele-marketers who call you and send you the sticker, only about 10% makes its way to the cause they told you they were donating to. The telemarketing company keeps about 90%.

If you want to help out, call your local station and ask where they suggest you donate.

Those stickers are often abused and will not get you any consideration during a traffic stop.

They are made by private companines, and police departments receive no benefits from them.
