Why would a girl ask out a guy? I dont think its the proper thing to do. Is this just my opinion or does anyone else think the same? No offence to anyone...

Okay, let's ignore all the sexist people out there! It's the twenty-first freaking century. If you like someone, tell them. Girls shouldn't have to ride backseat to guys all of our lives just because it's considered "tradition". Screw that, lol! I have asked out guys before, and usually it goes pretty well. Guys like girls that take charge. If you I like someone then I tell them. I think that's how all girls should think. Yeah it feels good to get asked out, but let's face it, half the population doesn't have the balls for that. Sometimes the girl just has to get the relationship started, then the guy can take over from there.

Sometimes guys have a hard time approaching girls, too. They also have the fear of rejection like we do alot of times. To find out if a guy likes you, it's not a bad idea to just come right out and ask. What harm is it going to do anyway? The most he can do is tell you he's not interested..then you move on.

It used to be very improper, but things have changed, times are different. Women's lib & everything - sometimes we just have to go for what we want because some men are too clueless to get our hints. However, I still think it's more chivalrous for the guy to ask out the girl, treat her nicely, open doors - all the romantic mushy stuff that doesn't mean they just want to score at some point in the date.

Well I was raised that the boy should ask out the girl etc. But times are changing women are getting more independent and guys expect more of them. Either way is accepted anymore though just do what you feel.

Ha Ha! It is hard to approach the opposite sex, especially if you have a crush on them! Some guys are just shy, and insecure. They struggle to mature as quickly as you! I don't think it is wrong to say you like someone. Going out doesn't mean you are moving in together! How adorable!

Im with you. Women in my generation, at least the ones with class, dont ask men out. The low class ones do, tho. In the younger generation, however, it is accepted or even expected that the girls do the asking.

It really depends on the guy. If the guy you like is very outgoing, then he'll definately do the asking. If the guy is very shy, it might be a lot harder for him to ask and it might take awhile. So it's certainly alright for a girl to ask out a guy she likes if she knows he likes her too.

Its not always easy to ask a guy out, and guys fear rejection too. So I think its better if girls sometimes do the asking :)

thats what I think most guys get freaked out if a girl asks them out, but some don't care. I would never ask out a guy. I agree wit you!

I think that ppl should do what makes them feel confortable. If you think that asking a guy out is weird, then that's your opinion!
But then people need to be open to others oppinions too! :)
