I'm going to assume you mean booby traps=IEDs.
Both have phycological impacts on soldiers and it will varry from area to area. If you are in Baghdad and restricted to using certin roads all the time, the fear of IEDs is understandable because you get bottle knecked and the enemy knows this. If your out in the country and can just make your own roads, the IED impact might not be as present.
Working in Baghdad, the threat of Snipers is probably the biggest consern. There are ways to defeat IEDs (not all types but some), though sniper fire is a little more of a challenge to prevent. Never the less, through rewards programs and carefull mission planning, you can curb the risk of both a little bit.
What scares me the most is the enemy knowing our reactive drills to an IED then setting an complex ambush afterwards with PSAF. Though, steps can be taken to lower the risk of this threat as well.

Booby traps and snipers? Well I am a Navy Corpsman, and the biggest thing I saw and heard was what will happen to their family if they get killed.
Alot of soldiers worry more about their families and fellow soldiers, than they do themselves, because they have accepted their jobs, accepted the terms of their jobs, risks and all, and have more worry about their loved ones than they do themselves.

Both together, since as a soldier or Marine you will not be able to let your guard down to relax looking for booby traps and trying to get the sniper before they get you.

BOTH of these have a very physiological impact on you as a soldier. Snipers are a major problem
with booby traps a very close second!

About even probably across the board but I would give a slight edge, meaning more impact, to the sniper. You can clear an area of bobby traps and remain in the area being fairly secure but the sniper can sneak in again and again.

booby traps, there are more of them and they can injure a group of people, while a sniper takes out one at a time

They're not called "booby traps". They're called IED's, or improvised explosive devices. And yes... those weigh far more heavily on most soldiers' minds. Iraqis take pot shots at us all the time but have a lower success rate; because even a mis-timed IED can still kill and maim, whereas a mis-aimed bullet isn't terribly effective.... or at least not as destructive. They're both a concern; but IED's have claimed more casualties than snipers have.

There are people who are trained to dismantle many types of booby traps. Sniper fire can happen at any second. I would answer your question by saying snipers.
