There is a guy at work who really likes me, and i like him, and right now we are just getting to know each other. The only thing is is that in my church we can't really date anyone who isn't in our church, and normally i've always told myself the same thing because it would only make me rethink where i am in life, i want a strong and faithful helpmate, well...this guy is someone i know i can see myself with, and we have been able to talk about so much and just basically get each other by day to day, i like him, and i know he likes me, is there anyone who has maybe gone through something similar? Maybe not as far as church wise but along the same lines?? Anything is a big help. thanks

Well, I knew a girl in grad school who, ten years later, told me she'd wanted to date me but at the time had religious issues with it.

She threw herself at me then, and we went out for a while, but our relationship would have been much better a decade earlier.

More to the point -- if your church keeps you from doing what is right, maybe it's time to think a bit more about what you do and don't REALLY believe. There are a lot of religions in the world, and a lot of good people in them. If religion serves to divide people, it probably is not well aligned with moral truth.
