I'm being offered at the LBS around 1700 dollars for each frame. I plan on passing everything from my current bike onto a new frame. I plan on using it to do some minor downhill, small jumps, joyriding, training, and racing.

Which one should i get?
The S-Works Stumpjumper comes with an intelligent Fox rear shock. The otherone is nice too and i don't mind the fact that it doesn't have an intelligent rear shock either.

My decision depends on what i can use the bike for. I see the Enduro as a DH orientated frame, while the S-Works as for more agressive XC.

What do you think?

Well the Stumpjumper DOES have a lifetime guaranty. But the thing is, they don't make that frame anymore, and i don't think they'll change it for a top-of-the-line 2008 Sworks Stumpjumper if i damage it.

The enduro is out of the question ATM.

I am wondering which Enduro you are looking at?

I have friends with Stumpies and a friend with an Enduro SL. For the most part they all do XC and endurance riding and are quite happy and satisfied with their rigs. The Enduro SL seems great for some downhill type riding but gets you back up the hill, as well. As you know, the Stumpy is pretty much a pure XC rig.

I am not sure anyone can offer you a "best" answer. The key is what do you want in a bike and what feels best to you? I suggest you go ride a fully outfitted Stumpy and an Enduro and choose the frame you like best.

Hope this helps you out.

It all depends on what you are going to ride. The Enduro is pretty much a downhill and big jumps/drops kind of bike. The FSR is more of an all-mountain type bike. If you are doing any kind of XC racing or riding the FSR is a much better bike. The Enduro is not made to go uphill, only down.

By your own description, "minor downhill, small jumps, joyriding, training, and racing", I would go with the FSR.

From what you describe, the enduro would be the best option. The enduro is not for heavy FR or DH, but can take more abuse than the Stumpjumper.

If you don't mind the extra weight, the Enduro. Otherwise, if you prefer speed go for FSR.

Simple:

If you like go go down get the Enduro.
If you like XC go with the FSR.

Happy Riding!!
