I want and need to start shaving my legs and underarms because it is noticeable. I don't want to ask my mom so how can I show her?? I also want to start wearing deodorant because I need it badly!! my mom said last summer I had my legs up in the car and my mom said I should start shaving. On Saturday my mom asked me if I needed deodorant but I was silent so she expected NO!! Help me PLEASE!!

I had the same problem. And you should have said yes. But well next time she is going to the store ask her to please get you some deoderant. And when you are out try and get some disposible razors. Shave your underarms and then put some soap on your legs till they are really soapy and shave them. Afterall she told you you should start shaving them. Dont be scared. IF she notices tell her that she told you to start.

i went through those problems when i was your age too. don't be embarrassed, your mom knows that its about time you are going to need to shave your legs and wear deodorant. maybe next time you guys are in the car on the way to school or having TV time together you can ask her, really its no big deal. if you don't want to tell your mom and if you have an older sister you can even confide in her.

Since your mother has already brought up both subjects, clearly she's open to your doing both. If you still feel awkward discussing the subjects with her, you could just accompany her the next time she goes to the store and put some deodorant and a razor in the cart. As for what to do next, you've probably seen many women using these products on TV.

Life is going to get much more tough from here on out. Your mother is trying to open the lines of communication now so that when things get tougher down the road, you are not scared to come to her for help or advise.
I say, go to your mom... ask her for deodorant, ask her the best way to shave (she has much more experience on the subject than you do), ask her how NOT to get nicks and cuts on your ankles and knees.
Are you of age where you have your period? How do you ask for sanitary items? Are you using a tampon? If not, this also might be a good time to ask how to use one.
Bottom line, keep the lines of communication open with your mom... it's going to get much more tougher and it'll be good to have your mom to fall back on.

She seems very open about your needs so ask her to buy you deodorant or you could go to the dollar store and buy it yourself it is only like 2 bucks and just tell her that you need and want to shave your legs i am sure she will let you .

ok i did this with my mom and everything turned out perfectly.Ok so...tell your mom if you can buy an electric razor then after 2 or 3 weeks tell her that your ready to use a real razor and show her that you know how to use it.or you could use some Sally Hanson hair removal cream.you spay it on your legs or underarms and wait for 3 minutes before you shower...you hop in the shower and the stuble just melts right off!simple!its only like 4 bucks i think.good luck sweety!!

If you want you give your mom hints that you want to start shaving: go put shorts on and when you mom sits on the couch, go sit next to her. Then put your feet up like you're trying to relax. Look at you legs and be like "Ew, I'll be right back. I'm gonna go put sweats on because my leg hair is gross".
For deodorant, throw it in the shopping cart the next time you go shopping, like it's no big deal.

Your mom told you you need to shave, and now you dont know how to tell her that you want to? She also asked you if you need deodorant and you were silent, although you need it? You need to work on your open communication with your mom. It sounds like she's trying.

Next time your mom si shopping call her on her cell phone and say,"i forget to ask if you can buy me some deoderant", say thanks and hang up.....easy as that.You should just borrow one of your moms razors and start shaving, i think your mom will get the hint after a while.GOOD LUCK!!!

lol why u so embarrassed to ask your mom about deoderant and shaving your legs? lol it shouldnt be embarrassing. Just be like, "mom, the next time you go out could you buy me a shaver so i could shave my legs. Oh and also i need some deoderant. Thanks!" lol i hope this helps!
