When you are a child you are told that santa claus, the easter bunny, and god are true. As you become older you realize that there is no tangible or visible evidence of any of these beings. So why do you stop your belief in santa and the bunny, but still believe in god?

Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are told by people and they are not in the Bible. They are False.

I (People) still Believe in God because HE is in the Bible and the author of the Bible. God is True.

"Let God be TRUE and every man false" - Romans 3:4

When a lot of people were growing up they were told that santa claus, the easter bunny, and evolution were real. Why do people stop believing in santa and the easter bunny but still believe in evolution. Which by the way has as much or as little evidence as you say God does.

God changed my life...

The Easter Bunny and Santa Claus didn't.

Santa and the Easter Bunny can't forgive sins, can't answer prayers, can't heal the sick or save a lost soul or comfort the hurting. But God can! I have seen Him do all these things for me and my family and church family. Santa is dead, the Easter bunny never existed. But God is real, He is alive, He can come and live right inside a person. God is real. His truth is real. That is why we keep on believing in Him.

When I was sure Santa was not real, it happened because I recognized the man dressed in a Santa suit. My parents then admitted that he was a man in olden times but not now.
Later In life, I became troubled because I didn't know if God existed. I heard a verse that said , you must have the faith of a child to know God. God became my desire to find out if he was real. I figured that one day I would know for sure if God existed but not unless I believed first and gave him the benefit of the doubt.
This was necessary because otherwise I would only find reasons to support my non-belief. Believing opens the door to the Kingdom. Without faith the door will stay shut and your path goes further and further away with your desire to know hand in hand.
A Priest in Vietnam during the war told me I should pursue my doubts. So that is what I did when I got home. I searched and then found (my answer.) Now I see no other possibility because God has revealed himself and his Kingdom in so many ways.
I hope you follow those words before you give up.
"Seek and you will find", Knock and the Door will be open unto you. Rev. TomCat

Ah, friend, Santa Claus and the Easter bunny are not real
(although there really was a Saint Nicolas). God is real, God is alive, God reveals Himself to those who seek Him, God is found in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was a person of history. Jesus Christ rose from the dead. He is alive today!

god bless

Well my parents have never lead us to believ in Santa or the eater bunny. I think though even if I did believe in them and then stopped believing in them but not God is because they didn't make the world. they don't do miracles but God DOES.

well, that isn't true. My parents never lied to me, and they told me that Santa never existed and neither did the Easter bunny, toothfairy or any other lies that parents always feel the need to tell their kids. But God exists, he just does. Do you think the world just exploded together, like some people?? Now that I don't get!

Good heavens, is this a drinking question yet?

Honey, I don't know what you've been told, but I was NEVER raised to believe in Santa, the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, the monsters in the closet or under my bed, Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, or aliens.

I also have not always believed in ANY God, much less the one I believe in now.

Don't assume. You know what they say about assuming.

Anyway, to answer your question, the reason I believe in God NOW is because He proved Himself to me. Simple as that.

Because there is point that there is a God- The heavens declare His glory every day. Jesus died on the cross to bring us back to God. Santa and the bunny never gave His life to give us life. Jesus did!!! Faith in God is not blind, when you step out in faith and believe that we are sinners in need of Christ's salvation your eyes will be open, to the truth- Satan is the one that blinds the world to the truth.
