Ok,so there's this guy. He's my friend's cousin and he asked me if I wanted to hang out with him. I said ''I don't know'' so he told me to think about and I said OK and that I'd call him. Well my mom said I couldn't go even if she chaperoned us and i thought it was ridiculous so basically I haven't called him yet cuz of course I don't want to tell him that. I visited his church. Should I just hang out with him there like talk and stuff. Any advice about this?

what should I tell him besides my mother won't let me cuz I really like him and I still think we could be friends if he'd wait till I get older. I'm so upset about this. I like him so much.

Just explain to him the situation and hang out with him at church/talk on the phone. See if your mom will allow him to come over and hang out at your place. Promise her stuff like you won't go into your room and close the door. You could just like watch a movie or hang out outside. Once your mom meets him and sees what kind of person he is and how he treats you, she shouldn't mind you going out other places with him. This is what my little sister did and my mom really liked the guy and now they go out to the movies and do things all the time. It's the "unknown guy" that your mom doesn't like. Let her get to know him so she can trust him with you.

Oh dear. I take it your mother is a devout Catholic or something along those lines....I keep telling people religion is a bad thing....
Don't get me wrong- I have amazing morals ^^
I'm not too sure how old you are but I'm judging quite young- if you're over 14years you should be allowed to hang out with this guy- however if you're going to keep a healthy relationship with your Mom I'd suggest simply meeting him by church and yes if you build a good relationship with him through talking and hanging out your Mom may come to terms with your relationship and let you date...
