By this he meant, the only way for people to learn was through reasoning and open-mindedness. This also means arguing, debating, and counter-arguing. I personally don't see the point to stop because I can learn from both sides of the argument.

What has to happen is that the moderates on both sides of the fence have to first separate themselves from the extremists ,realize that what they share in common is greater then their differences and deliver a message to their respective extremists factions that their extremest behavior is no longer tolerable.
Sound like a plan ?

I tried asking questions like that a long time ago. They don't work, but I love your peace keeping efforts and I agree that way too much arguing goes on here. We can have healthy debates, but people should really be nicer to one another.
