I think that you can still receive compliments and keep a humble Spirit. Remember one very simple thing though that may help- do not call it "my ministry"- you can say a ministry that God has called me too, etc. The reason I say this is it can become so easy to do things under our own strength when we think the ministry is ours at all.

I know I sometimes struggle with that sometimes when I do something am I doing this for my sake to get recognition or am I doning it because I want to glorify God and help people. I think you should ask your self that question "am I doing this for my sake to get recognition or am I doning it because I want to glorify God and help people" if your doing it because you want to be recognized or praised then your probably not doing it for the right reasons.

"My ministry"? Take a look at your language. "I glorify God"?
I,Me and Mine. Look through and through till there is no You to be found.

When you do what God tells you to do and not the things you think you should be doing. If you do things and go out of your way to make sure everybody knows about it, then its for you, and God got no glory.

This I say and testify interior the Lord , that ye henceforth walk not as different gentiles walk , interior the conceit of their innovations , having the awareness darkened , being alienated from the existence of God , during the lack of information in them , by using blindness of their hearts

well, if you think people are complimenting YOU instead of God, just tell them that they should be complimenting God, not you

That's something only you can answer by looking at your own heart and motives. You can ask yourself, "WHY do I do the things that I do, and who do I REALLY do them for?"
If anybody else answers, that is judgeing, because we can not see the heart.
(BTW, judging a person's actions is NOT unbiblical, only judging a person's MOTIVES is wrong.)
