No, you have it the wrong way around.
You make up your illusion based on your understanding of reality.
How close that illusion is to reality depends on how much you understand reality.
Thinking that I am going to give you a star for exhibiting such a poor understanding of illusions and reality just shows how your illusion is different from reality.

we don't make our own reality (own reality is an illusion) - reality has always been with us but we let our egos get in the way and BANG there you have the illusions.

the universe is mental. that doesn't mean it's an illusion. it means all matter and energy is essentially insubstantial. we make our own spiritual reality. the reality of the physical world is drawn from the mental consensus of all matter and energy.
