In a jam you can start attempting to feed orphaned pups mush at about 18 days... its not optimal, but you do what you can in such a situation.

See if you can find a friend to come over and let you nap.

Good luck!

Maybe you can find a friend to help you if you can not find a surrogate. We raised 11 pups like this one time and they turned out to be great dogs.Of course, "we " had quiet a few people taking turns sitting with them. Hope the pups are all doing OK. Going bathroom etc? How did you get their ears cleaned out? We took ours to the vet and he took care of this after they were born. Just like she would have By the time the pups are three or four weeks old, you should be able to get a bit of rest. We didn't start ours eating by themselves until they were about 5 weeks old. Bless you for taking over and doing this. Good Luck with the babies. What kind are they?

Talk to a local vet and try and find a surrogate mother. It is really important that the puppies are raised by a dog so that they learn the vital dog skills that they will need. If your local vet has no idea then try another vet, or try talking to the local shelters.

Puppies that are taken away from mum too young - before the age of about 5 weeks - often grow up to have serious behavioural problems. Try and find a mum to feed them - even if you have to supplement their meals with a bottle.

Good luck.

God bless you for taking on your new babies! My advice is call a vet, sometimes it depends on the breed how often they get fed. You can start them on puppy chow mixed with formula when their baby teeth come in. But the first two weeks are crucial as they are helpless, they cannot see, smell or even move well during this time. They respond to warmth to survive.

Be sure to start socialization with other dogs asap. If you know someone with a nursing mother dog she might accept them into her litter and raise them. Puppies that are taken away from their mother too soon have socialization issues and anxiety separation if not corrected early. You can still help them later on with this, but survival is all important right now!

They can start with liquids/lapping at about 3 1/2 or 4 weeks.
