Not now. He is much too old for F1. Would have loved to see him 10 yrs ago though. In his book he seriously considered it but couldnt get a competitive ride which is so essential to success in F1. Would have loved to see Jeff V Michael though. Two fo the greatest race car drivers ever.

Jeff Gordon is clearly a talented race car driver, and under other circumstances, he probably would do well in F1. However, JGo is now in his mid-thirties and that is way too old to be starting a F1 career. Had this been 30 to 40 years ago, that would not have been the case. He, like a few other Nascar drivers-Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr-may run in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the Grand American Road Racing Series, which is owned by Nascar, but it simply won't happen for Jeff Gordon to go to F1.

If he were going to join formula 1 he should have done that a long time ago, he is too old...F1 is all about youth..Most of those guys are 22-32. Schumacher was 37 when he retired last yr, thats old for F1 drivers.. I think Jeff would have been great in F1, he is good on the road courses, but not now, he is just too old..

He had his chance with the BMW team and turned it down. He and Montoya swapped rides at the Indy road course back in 2003. They aired it on Speed Channel. After only 10 laps Jeff was less than a second off of what Montoya ran, while Montoya was horrible in the #24 car.

Wouldn't that be a pay cut? I think he is one of the few Nascar drivers that could do it. He is already very well known worldwide!!

Yes. That way he'll never beat Earnhardt and Petty's record.
Plus all the whining Gordon fans will go over to the F1 section and we'll all have peace once and for all.

I think it would be interesting, but he's too old for that now. He should stay in Nascar and try to become the greatest driver of the modern era.

If it didn't conflict with NASCAR, I'd love to see how he'd perform in that series. But it'll never happen.....
By the way, he's already known worldwide. Those F1 fans know who he is, they just hate to admit it.
