How would you know he was telling the truth or not?

I would pray to God and listen quietly for His still small voice. I Kings 19:12 "After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper."

Then I would test the spirits the way I am taught to test the spirits.
I John 4:1-4 "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world."

Then I would recognize that God is not into juvenile behavior (He told me to tell you) and if He wants me to give to someone, He would lay it upon my heart to give to someone when they showed up at my door. He would lay it on my heart, before the person showed up.

How about testing the spirit? Need I explain more? Than I will tell you if I would or wouldn't. Someone want to help me out here? Test the Spirit. Come on...what else you gonna do get a shotgun? If he comes as a thief and a lier, yes, than get a shotgun. Hand him money?...maybe I was being tested by a messenger of God who had the winning lottery ticket, too??lol? What do I know? I would test the spirit. That gives you the only answer to any question.

If they seemed that they needed it and I had it.. yes.. I've given money to people before who have said that they needed it.. you never know when you will be on the needy end of the stick.. I would just hope that they would be telling the truth and not using God's name in vein..

I would not unless God told me to give him the money because anyone could use that as an excuse to get money.

I would get down on my knees and pray about it if God wants me to give him the money then he will show me the answer, if not then he'd walk away with the same amount he showed up with!

I would just give it to him because God talks to me while I'm awake and while I'm asleep. Now if a guy came to my door and said: "God told me to recieve H**d from you" then I'm going to know he's telling a lie because God says that he enjoins right conduct on Mankind and Satan enjoins what is evil and forbidden.

I would reply 'God can't have sent you here for money because I don't have any money'.

Are you sure he didn't tell you to get money FOR me?

Any God who commands people to take other peoples' money is greedy and not worth worshipping to begin with.
